lol $12.50 for wire? waste of money. i use the supplied wire sometimes but find it a bit soft, so i use dress maker pins and you get enough for about 4 sets in a box for 2.50. Much cheaper the banana effect can be fixed with a little pressure in the other direction but i noticed i don't get that with the dress maker pins

Hi Todd
Great review thanks. I'm not great with PE but so many mainstream kits include it these days its becoming a 'must have'.
I guess I'll have to part with some more money LOL

Spud - I hear ya but case in point...hat pins work great and ther should be no drilling involde...pop it up against the fence and go. Nothing poking into the fingers when you get to thinned out link...save money where you can...I don't pump out Fruils to often..most applications the MT's work great...DS work well too...just need to be able to manipulate them the right way.
Thanks Smudge! Many great kits do come with the small sheet of brass...TBH, one of the smaller units would be more than acceptable I think. KV, PZ.IV and others with items like full length fenders might need the longer edge. The big ones have all the extra cutouts which I like as the bend ship railing perfectly for curved decks.

Great review which has definitely made my mind up for me,
I've hummed and ha'd over these for some while now and you've convinced me ... I ought to have one and one that's well made too boot. There are, obviously, cheaper variations on a theme out there but you can't beat quality and quality has its price.
Thanks for your extremely informative and well written review. It's helped me enormously.
Grant.

well he does say to use a 0.5mm drill when needed but yes no drilling should be needed.

Thanks Grant...and you're welcome! I am confident you will not be disappointed!
Spud - The pins are the most viable..stiff, cheap...quick and dirty. Even with the wire, as I wouls suppose the pins as well, a couple need a little coaxing with a drill bit.
