Thanks Luigi! Applied a wash on the 361 engine and whittled on the frame to nestle her down in there. Because the 6-71 Blower takes a bit more room and requires a bit more air, had to remove a bit of firewall and interior cab. Always knew that Salt Shaker pour spout would come in handy.
Worked on the .50 Cal MG yesterday. Painted gun metal. Rattle canned the pedastle base, ammo cans and shells. The 1:25 scale MG is ready for action. Received the Modern Masters metal iron paint yesterday and just had to try it out. Stuff really works.
Thanks Leon. After the rust dried, sprayed it with Satin Clear coat to give it a damp look. After shooting Jared with acrylic black, mixed equal parts of Buff, Flat Flesh and thinner to give him a kind of dead flesh look. Now can start work on the Camper.
Thanks Luigi and Boots. Had some neighbor complaints about the noise, so decided to build a shroud around the Blower pulley assembly. They were right, couldn't hear the CB going off and such. Built the shroud from the the Morten Salt pore and used aluminum duct tape to fabricate an insulated shroud for the blower. So now, the driver and passengers can hear the CB.
Worked on Jared a bit with some Life Color acrylics. Two coats with a brush and will need another. Also used the hair spray method to put a green band of color on a couple drums. Was in the garage taking apart an old printer, before hauling it off to Recycle. They have allot of cool parts like blower belts, wiring, springs and Hey........... this looks interesting. Hmmmmmmmmm..... Wifie is having so much fun watching, she asked to help. So she made a bead spread, pillows, coffee pot, 2 chickens in a crate and cook pot for the camper. Coolness!
She said to tell yo thanks. Received some Super Sculpey clay and she's going to redo them. It will be allot better to work with. Used the salt technique on the cattle guard and catcher, then shot with several shades of rust. Painted another coat of dust on the tires and weathered the cab some. Still have to weather the widows and build a cage around the cab.
After masking the wiper marks, sprayed the windshields with Matte Clear. Installed, marker and turn lights with Amber. Masked and shot the door base color with Liquitex acrylic yellow ink. Later will place a Bio Hazard emblem on it. She's gettin there!
