DSC08842 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. Well I waited a while for this and thanks to Chris Meddings from ITA I have 3 I have one well on the way some may have seen it in my BV blog but now it gets its own space IN ITS OWN RIGHT. First up big thanks to Chris for getting the xact stuff in and doing some deals at Telford. I have built a fare bit and as yet no problems to report photos will be along soon. Rgs Mac

Can't wait to see some pics of this.
T-80 can be an interesting subject, especially setting it in Chechnia...

I'll check the pics I can find on FB There's a group dedicated to Chechen wars. I'll also ask the people in the group as I really know very little of the T-80 variants, I only know it suffered heavy losses in Grozny.

Poor old thing took an arse beating but that's what happens when tanks go into built up areas with out proper infantry support, would be great if you found some pictures

They even forgot to activate ERA, so for the opponents was more like fishing trouts in a bath tub. Let me browse and see what I can find

They pointed me to these two pics of a T-80U that's said to be in Chechnya: That's a start... If you were building a T-72B I'd have a full load of pics in Chechnya

Mac. Cookie Sewell confirmed that T-80U was used during second Chechen war, this time together with infantry and with fewer losses.

Heres a few pics . DSC08846 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. I am still building sub assemblies but these are the main ones. DSC08847 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. .Details like these weld marks on the towing eyes is outstanding. Deep wading equipment is a model in its own right. . DSC08844 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. . DSC08851 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. . DSC08850 by macmcconnell, on Flickr. The detail all around this kit is first class I have only had one slight problem with the MG that was a little over complicated to build. Mac

Can any one tell me how I post from flicker they seem to have changed things again. . I reinforced the mud flaps with Araldite which seems to have worked. . . Tracks were an extra and special deal at the show but there very good and even when ai snapped a few or others were Brocken they can be easily used. . . The fit to the sprockets not bad I am going to have to make some track pin ends from the old punch and die Rgs Mac
