The AMPS Nationals will be held in Auburn Indiana on April 26-28 2012.

I might have some thing to bring, but no biggie if I don't. I'm mainly going to meet people and have fun. I will only be buying small things that will fit in my bag. I don't feel like lugging kits through the airport ...LOL

Rob, if you do buy anything big, I can bring it home and mail it to ya! I went to one of the VLS Mastercon's they had back in the 90's, saw guys with a big shopping list, and VLS mailed it home for them.

My boss approved my day off of work on the 27th, so I will be driving up early friday morning. Looks like about a 3 hour drive.

Just confirmed my hotel room! I'm pretty excited for this:) My wife is less excited:). Its my first time going soi was wondering have you guys been to this show/museum before? If so what are your thoughts? Cheers to all.

I have not been there yet but heard the museum is good. I will try to make it out there and hopefully have time to check out the museum......or in my case, the rust buckets out behind the museum....LOL

I hope to take some pics while there if and when time permits. Will be mainly there to talk to a few people and also get some interviews for the meet the pros. Many of the top name guys are very busy so I figure since they are there, a few beers and they may talk (((LOL))).

Just have to book a flight and rental car....16 days to go, very close now.

Don't know what life changing things are going on, but I've found that sometimes you get so involved in making the "perfect" model, you sometimes forget how much fun it used to be. When the dust settles, pull out and old kit and build it right out of the box, no frills, no thrills. Just good old fashion fun building. Hell throw some extra glue on it in big spots like you did when you were a kid. (LOL). No really every time I get wrapped around the axle in a build I pull out some old kit that doesn't have a chance of ever winning at a contest and build it right out of the box. You will be surprised on how much the thrill of the hunt comes back to you.
Now that I'm done standing on my soap box. Take a breath, (in, out, in, out).

Yeah the mojo is returning. Wasn't so much the fig, but was other things too. I usually don't know what to do when there are too many kits in the stash crying out to be built, plus the started ones.

that's great to hear, Rob!!! sometimes you need to take it easy... you almost forgot to have fun and take your time... take some air!!! sometimes is good to work on the old pending builds, because you already put your time and effort to it.

Awesome Rob. Glad to hear you're going . I'm not planning on entering anything. Just kinda want to scope things out and not have any pressure for my first show. It's awesome that you're bringing the JT and the 152. You're sure to do well, mate! I'm getting pumped though. It's gonna be really cool!

I'm not too much into entering to win, although it would be cool to see where I stand at the Nats. My wrecked T-69 won a Gold last year. I enter for the fun of it and support the clubs, same with raffles even though I rarely ever win something. Last year I won a sanding stick...lol...I actually use often. I also had donated one of my models to the raffle, made one guy happy and gave me more space on the shelf LOL.

I'll get with you guys as the date nears as to when I'll roll into town. I'm shooting for Thursday evening in time to catch the Adam Wilder demo.

Great piece there brotha. We talked about the concept before you started the actual build, but I didn't think it would look this cool. I'm thinking of finishing the KV for the theme as well.
