"Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the fire that burns against the cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the shield that guards the realm of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all nights to come."
As a very big fan of the BBC series "Game Of Thrones" it was just a matter of time until I wanted a series-related figure here. That series is pure genius!
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_of_Thrones
With a 1/16 head bargain a the last expo and some "green stuff" I started a litle bust of a mercenary of the famous "Night's Watch". Just a regular one, not Jon Snow - I have no suitable faces here
This is my very first attempt of a major converion like that - so I cant promise that the result will be 100 per cent.
The state so far:

Welcome Bill. No need to swear an oath here - there will be stricly no violence in this WIP. Except excessive use of Bloody ehm Green Stuff maybe and cutting some plastic profiles. And then Ill agonize my color jars.

Some more work was done: I scratched a small sword and filled the outlines of the uniform with Mr.Surfacer - those were a bit too heavy imho.

Nice one Lucas! Better hurry...Winter Is Coming! Not here in Germany. 10°C right now and no snow at all. But I heard the American east coast was hit very hard. Just had a talk to my friend, and the 2nd figure is on the way. But he left his home for some days, so the other casts will take a while. Anyways - "festina lente!" ("haste makes waste"), so thats totally okay.

Soooo. Some first steps were made. The plan is to create a 3D SBS so to say. It will show the "birth" of a figure (modelling the figure), reworking (sanding, trimming, putty etc.), priming and first steps, until the figure is completed. Some casts are pretty hard to rework, cause unfortunately theres loads of bubbles in some spots that you can hardly reach. So if Im fed up with one of those figures, I still have another. The figure with the grey spot on its forehead and the two bubbles in the lid will become the completely painted figure thats supposed to "stand" on the base.

Great work so far Lucas, not an easy task from what I hear and can be frustrating. But, you're pluggin along pretty sweet like, so I recon it'll be primed and painted mue pronto. You got grander cajones than I, for I have not venture into the realm of sculpting just yet, maybe some day. Watching with interest and standing by.
Cheers, Ski.
