I've used copper tape (used on pots with plants to scare off snails) on a number of projects. Here's a picture of my WIP. The copper tape was cut in 5 mm wide strips and then glued to the hull. With a flexible ruler and a pencil I scribed the individual plates. It doesn't matter that they are not all the same size, the orignal ship was build in 1850. With the wheel of a clock (just visible in the lower left corner) I made the rivets. Nice that we use this same handmade tool. At that point the tape is still thick, so I use the back of a brush to thin it, this also makes the lines and rivets a little less "heavy". I find the copper tape very useful. I used it to fill the wheel wells of the old 1/32 Hasegawa Spitfire Mk V : Sincerely Pascal
