Nice! I'm really impressed by this - weathering at this scale must be VERY tricky but you've pulled it of to perfection! Just recently I've been asked about a small scale build - probably one of Dragon's Armour Pro Series 1/72 kits. I'll definately have to have a crack at one of these! Ben

Thanks Luigi! Space savers for sure!!
Thanks Ben, appreciate the kind words! Can't go wrong with many of he Armor Pro kits, great build I think. Check them out prior though and maybe even shoot Deano a note as he is even more familiar with them...a couple are doppish but these are recent ones. I loved the Pz.III...very fun to work with!

Now that's just crazy small . You could do a dio of the entire battle of Kurk on a 4ft x 4 ft square . The acrylic wash's would be of interest to me as I have had a few problems with oils weakening the plastic . T , I think you could make a diamond look rusty !

Of course I just had another go at something yesterday. I slapped together one of DML's 1/72 VK's over coffee yesterday morning and painted this up. As you can see it is not necessarily a completed model...probably will never be as this was primarily for a review of Vallejo's Red Oxide AFV Series Paint sets. Another reason why this one will not make the 2013 gallery of finished models....but sharing is all part of the game!! Here is the review on Armorama if you care to take a gander: www.armorama.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Reviews&file=index&req=showcontent&id=9799I also did a review on the VK a while back in the year there as well: www.armorama.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Reviews&file=index&req=showcontent&id=9149This was not the most glowing of kits in my opinion but there is always room to make something better somehow!! In the coming months there will be some Vallejo reviews coming to the pages of MSC! Vallejo has provided us with some great support and we will be showing many of their items and their uses. Product knowledge is always a plus...it gives us modellers Options!!! Time for some more "coffee" I think!!

Todd, is that one of the newer Armor Pro releases?

Came out earlier this year or so. Not one of the better ones by all means. Probably because it is one of the "what if's" and there is not a lot of personality to it in my honest opinion...but, with a little love I am sure someone can add a few details to make her shine. This id come with some tools and tow shackles...a couple other small pieces that actually did not make it on in the interest of the 20 minute build session....yes, even the track all went together in about 20. So I suppose taking your time and maybe even canalization a couple older tank kit and add some flair this wouldn't be half bad!

That's the problem with the newer Dragon 1/72 kits, pay more, get less

Hiya MrT, Knocked up a 1/72 AFV over coffee There's me not finished a build for months! Looks quite interesting, even if it does need some work. Deano could fix it

LOL...there was not a lot to it for sure and I quickly sanded some things up to get painting. Deano would really polish this kit up I think! There is a lot of flat surface to it for camo, weathering and even damage if so chosen. A good platform to play the What If game!!

Another nice piece of braille work done over your morning coffee there T! Just be careful not to accidentally ingest any styrene in the process and you'll be fine.

Very cool build and finish T .... funnily enough I have been looking at the other VK version they do in 1/72 . I like the way the turret is set to the rear of the tank in the other version plus it has a big surface area for late war camo practice

Thanks Bill....I was wondering what those little white flecks were...thought the creme had curdled! I think the other version might be a better lit. I know the Big A has a review of that one some where as well...pretty much the same tank but smarter than having the barrel sticking out smacking into s**t!! LOL!! I suppose I could lighten this up a bit, maybe add some bench-markings and some washes and would pass! All in the interest of FUN and knowledge, right?

Thanks for linking that Todd , wow that is terrible on a lot of counts ..... with the pricing of that kit in the uk you seem to be paying for the subject more than anything else.

Deano...and then some!! The pricing is nuts...period for what you get! As far as DML is concerned, I would stick with III's and Iv's
It would fit for sure I would think! Sneeze once while painting and it's all over with!

Sneeze once while painting and it's all over with! That's just what I have been saying. Pay more and get less . The Armor Pro series used to be, IMHO, the best plastic kits around. Good detail, went together fairly well and most of the time you got some goodies like PE. The 7200 series and about the first half of the 7300 series were like that. After that they go down hill. Take for example Kit number 7370, Tiger I, this ones not bad and is a down sized version of their 1/35 kit number 6252. Which is supposed to be the best one out there. But the 1/72 kit has one piece road wheels . I can't remember which newer kit it is, you do get some PE exhaust shields but they're preformed. What fun is that? Look at the SU I'm doing now, # 7208, PE, indy road wheels and tow cables are included in the kit. To Me that's what an Armor Pro kit should be. The biggest selling point to the newer kits seems to be the DS tracks, which once again in IMHO are not that good to work with. There, now I feel better

It doesfeel a bit like getting the shaft when the quality all of a sudden goes down the tubes Jeff. I feel most of this is the "rush" to market possibly. They, and I mean DML, seem to loose scope of things if they try too hard to stay in front of what is needed or wanted. The last Pz. IV - 7497 was like I said, great to work with...in fact the seperate hub for the road wheels was especially nice as there was no cutting in when painting and the only downside was the Shurtzen Rail which I scratched up in about 10 minutes. For me though, the DS are far better than in the past and just a little patience I can even get a little bit of sag out of them. They painted up fine and I could weather them. But certainly this is one of those subjective things. Fortunately there are a few other companies out there for options...but we end up paying for it in the long run, don't we?
