Well chaps, the wheels of the modeling world have to keep turning and until i decide on my next large scale AFV i've came up with this little beauty! My very first Dragon kit and very impressed i am, the detail is outstanding. This has to be my favorite tank, always just liked the look of them and looking forward to putting this together. Hope you guys can join me!

Great choice Beast! This is a superb kit and was one of the fist Dragon kits that I built when I started out modelling. It's a shame I didn't know you were going to build this kit as in my stash I have the Dragon Late version Panther G (M.A.N.) and am planning to start it soon. We could have done a one of them 'dual builds' that the guys are doing - like a 2 man Group Build! Here's my next Panther kit and I'm really looking forward to getting this on the bench! It looks like a great build and by all accounts is very similar to your choice:www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/dragon/dr6268.htmCheers buddy, - I'm following closely! Ben

Don't reckon i'll be able to use some of that though as a lot is truly microscopic lol, for me it would be like Godzilla trying to open a can of tuna lol!

Nice choice! I'll have 4 1/16 Panthers when I'm all finished. A Late Production Panther G, a Panther F, and Early Panther G with zimm and either the D or A Panther too. I guess I like Panthers to match my love for Shermans. I'll have 6 1/16 Shermans ( 3 being already built). Jeff

well I don't feel so guilty now! I have two D's, maybe three or four A's, and two or three G early's and two or three G late's. All are either Dragon or Tamiya, but none have the zimmerit. One can never have enough Panthers on hand at any one time. gary

A "G" steel wheel was my 1st DML kit. 1st armor kit in fact and I couldn't been happier with the choice. Plan to follow as best I can. great choice.

Hi Stuart, If you haven't built a newer Dragon Panther before when you come to mounting the spare links on the rails either side of the rear engine deck you'll notice that the mountings that the links hang off are too wide and either the links or the rails themselves will need some surgery to thin them down in order to mount them properly. Basically, before you mount the rails, put a link on two of the mountings and you'll see what I mean. You don't have to use any links but I think they add a nice little touch to the build. If you want a dozen Panther G Friul links to use as the hanging spares justvlet me know. I've got a full box of Panther G Friuls for the kit in my stash and some leftover from my previous JagdPanther and Panther builds. I think this kit has DS track and gives you a few Magic Track links to use as the spares. The Friuls look better imo. Hope this helps, Ben
