Hi guys, Thanks again for all the comments! I apologize for the delay in getting an update posted but life has been busy! Work has been insane busy, my little girl is growing up fast, and my wife, to my surprise, still likes spending time with me. But even with all that I've managed to get a good chunk of work done on the 15. After my last update I was able to get the canopy fixed to the open/close mechanism and got it masked off. Once I got it in position I painted the whole thing black so that the frame would be black from the inside. Then I primed the whole bird, well minus the nose cone. Then I went back and attached the nose cone... Because I decided to make this positionable the fit isn't great. The radar which I'll display gets in the way of a tight seal just a hair. After the cone was in place I masked off and sprayed the electronics bay and the base of the radar. Mixed up some flat white, clear green, blue, and silver. Came out good to me. Then it was off to the spray booth for a bit of pre-shading. Dang did this take forever! After that was done and dried I couldn't stop myself from getting down the base coat. I am using the Italeri Model's US aircraft set. I'm still trying to figure out the mix ratio for the paint but so far I like the way it's coming out! Up next will be taking the little pieces of lint out of the paint, a few touch ups, and then a coat of Future before I mask off for the metalizers. Thanks again for following along!

Hi Adam! The pre shade looks good! Is the Italeri paint behaving like Tamiya? The color for the Aggressor Grey is right on! Did you pick the paint up at a LHS or online?

Hey man, the Italeri paint behaves a lot more like Vallejo model color. In fact, I'm almost certain its manufactured by Vallejo for Italeri. If you've thined model color and airbrushed it you'll be good. I actually used Vallejo airbrush thinner. I bought the paint online from Sprue Brothers. I'd defiantely suggest the paint set!

Hey guys, sorry for the delay in getting an update posted but I've been pretty busy at work this week. This morning I did get a bit more done on the big F-15. First I went back and touched up a few areas where I didn't get good coverage and where I had to sand out some hair/dust. After that I went back and did some post shading and sealed it up with future. After that I got started with the Metalizer work. Up next will be the metalizer work on the underside and then painting the wheel bays. Thanks for following along!

Great work on the F-15E Adam, it's really starting to come together. Just how big is that bird though ? By the size of your spray booth this is not the first time you've tackled a bird of this scale. Anyway nice work on the exhausts as well mate, look forward to the next update on this Strike Eagle.

Here are a few more pics showing the subtle effects of the pre-shade and the post-shade. Verdict?

Thanks sabre! You won't believe it but this is my first time tackling a 1/32 scale bird! The spray booth was actually built by our buddy Mr. TRM!!!! Well even more impressive then adam, you pick a great subject for your first attempt at that scale. The F-15E has to be one of the most menacing looking predators to ever grace the skies and at that scale the curves, lines and shear power of that bird really come to the fore. I have a question though mate... how do you find Mr. TRM's spray booth to work in, does the perspex offer more vision when painting or just the fact that the top is set back help when spraying. I only ask because it's another thing I need to build and seeing this one has made me have a rethink of just what size and configuration I should go with when I finally get around to building mine.
