The details and quality on their castings is, in my opinion, Top Notch. I only hope I can do it justice after painting. Haven't done much stowage, so this will be a challenge. This will be a desert scene and I hope to build a display base with the figures.
Thanks fellas. Found out some reasons why they didn't show wip antennas very much on these vehicles. They would set up dipoles in the sand and stretch wire for signal strength. Those green poles are for the antenna.... duh. See, I learnt sumpin new:)
Makes sense...especially in the desert. Reminds me of when I was running CCTV cable inside a school building here in the El Paso area...before we capped off the lines, we could pick up TV signals from China (no kidding!)...it was video only though, no audio.
It says when they had time to st up the Di Pole Rig, they would. Otherwise they'd use 102" wip antenna. The length was 95 feet with a mast long feeder of 65 feet. Not sure how high the poles were with guy wires out. The also used 2 and even 3 sections to get higher frequencies.
