Gary! Thanks for the info .I think I have the M79 in the rear bustle rack and I think I have some smoke grenades in my parts bin. I'll bookmarking all your info for any future projects. everybody sees a tank with a big gun shooting and shooting. Doesn't happen that much. They use the machine guns mounted on them much more. The main gun is for hardened targets (bunkers)and of course other armor. Hardened targets were not as common as the movies let on, unless you got deep in the jungle. Then the tank probably wasn't there. The nemesis of the tank was bad guys getting close to the tank. Main gun isn't as good as most people think, and that's where that fifty caliber comes in. The beehive worked very well on the 90mm gun (but nothing like the 152mm in a Sheridan), but your also looking at a 50 degree arc. Many tanks had a second machine gun on top. You learn to never leave any fire arm or hand grenades laying loose on the hull. Hands can cause a lot of problems. When the barrel gets flaming hot, you can't see very well. At night it's even worse. You soon learn to shoot where the M79 tells you to shoot. Then if it gets real bad you give them a bad dose of beehive. gary
