Hey folks, As I settle into the 2014 building session I am still trying to clear the bench of a few leftovers from last year and beyond...this doesn't mean I can't still build and paint!! LOL!! Last year I had the opportunity to review Model-Miniature's AMX-10 RCR (With 3rd Hussard) Review can be seen here>>> modelerssocialclub.proboards.com/thread/6107/model-miniature-amx-temp-reviewI thought now was a good time to dive in with both feet and move this into the mix. The Kit: There was not a lot of parts to contend with and the clean up was rather easy as some resin kits go. Only a couple sections that required a little filler to smooth things out. Like I said, it went well! Took only a short time to get it together and I had a moment to head down to the cave for a bit sooooo, I heated up the AB and laid down some primer. I also wanted to play with some new primer I had. If interested, the AMMO primer shot very well, no thinning and dried almost before I placed the piece back on the bench. I still have many thing to do around the bench still, but this will make a nice filler project. I plan on having a go at another camo scheme (mumble mumble mumble) I figure if I keep at it, it won't bother me that much sooner or later....and I have another set of paints to play with from AMMO. As always, thanks for swinging by!!

Joe - LOL....TBD!! Gary - Thanks! No, this is not the same as Vallejo's Primer. Well, let me see how to put this the right way....remember the "Old" AK Interactive Primers? One in the Same. AMMO uses the same provider of paint as was previously used by AK a short while ago. Leon - Thanks for the encouragement Buddy!! Andy - Thanks! No, as I didn't even think about that and no that I started already not sure it would work...LOL..thought though...maybe Spudicuus can answer that one? Snow? We'll see! Need to get through Camouflagicificationiating 1st!! Pete - Thanks! I agree, it would make for a nice subject in a bigger scale!! Scratch one!! Hopeing to hit the booth this morning maybe!! Let's see how far I get!!

Thanks Deano! Not always the biggest fan when it comes to full resin jobs but this one has been fun so far. Should prove challenging but fun to weather!!

Dicky - I am sure it will diminish some of the details but some key washes might help me out a bit. Jaymes - Thank you Sir! The wheels on this bugger, albeit very nice looking, are a bit quirky in the attachment point but everything works out in the end. I was thinking of picking up the Merk Conversion set, with the tow hooks and droid and give them a shot!! Another little update here...I managed to get some base down on this today...with any luck I will hit the camo soon!! A little shading: Then I went with the Green as the base...why not? LOL! The set came with one figure. I am thinking with a chop chop he will fit right into the driver's hatch nicely to fill the void!! Not sure I am up for painting braille figs but will give it a shot!!! Thanks for stopping in!!!

Can't wait to see camo next... nice pre-shading job. Missing a hand... no problemo... just make a hook out of brass wire.

Thanks Dupes! Still trying to let the old eyes get used to the tiny stuff I guess...LOL!!!
Answer 1...lucky I guess? I have a couple other things to play with soon...effects and a couple paint sets, just don't have a suitable piece of Russian armor in the mix yet...looks like I will need to find another "modern thing" to build!! Answer 2...Pretty much marketing, label and bottle changes; everything was in place already the outsourcing of materials is the same not to mention the need to get back on the horse!

Andy - Thank buddy!! The AMMO Shoots smooth.."just like you remember" it did!! Bill - Thanks my friend! Just trying to keep up with your shadow!! Gary - Thank Man! Appreciate it!! Deano - Thanks a bunch!! Needed that encouragement!! Dicky - Fanx!! Means a bunch coming from the Modern Scratch Wizard!! One of these days I might be ready for a T-90 or something!! Julie - Thank you very much! Glad to have your approval! It is a pleasure to work on this kit so far!! Weathering is coming up next. I popped a filter on her this afternoon so I will be ready for some more effects soon!! Well, I took advantage of a "stop and go" afternoon; this is where I run back and forth all day dropping off an picking kids up from friends houses and B-ball practices, almost done...anyway, I decided to try my have at Braille Fig Painting!! Figs can go either way with me usually so 1/72 are going to prove themselves especially trying I think. Here is the soldier of the 3rd Hussard that was included in the kit: Okay, stop laughing, I still need to work on the eyes...MINE and the ones on the fig!! If you checked out the review I posted here on MSC (link in my 1st post in this thread)you know that Ms. Julie had placed a special figure in the box before shipping it off to me. "The Ms. Julie" 1/72 figure. Mind you, the camouflage high-heeled boots are not included, but definitely pretty cool when you have your own action figure!!! I noticed after taking the pic, the right arm needed a little sand, I had to fill a small hole in the arm and forgot to hit it before the paint was slung!! And, maybe some touch-up on the eyes! Well, back to some weathering amognst some other things around here!! As always, thank for tuning in!!

Nice figure painting Todd , you are a braver man than me painting eyes in this scale . I only add a dark flesh wash to the sockets to give shadow ...... gives you the impression that something is there without the headache of eye balls
