Hey chaps here is my entry into the GB im going to try and recreate a Rebel Land Cruiser truck which has been modified to carry a turret from BMP 1 im using Mengs fantastic Land Cruiser kit and im stealing the turret from Trumpeters BMP 1 i will be scratch building the interior turret details and mounting frame to which will sit in the rear of the truck so far i have built the chassis and interior of the truck i will be finishing the build stage by this evening then i will post up some progress pics The kits The truck im aiming to replicate Some refs to follow REF PHOTOS FOR DISCUSSION PURPOSES ONLY Dan B

That is cool i was going to use the BMP as a paint practise piece but now ive seen that a what if could be on the cards cheers chaps ;)i will get some pics up soonish

Evening chaps as promised here are some pics of progress so far i started with the Meng pick up what a great kit its been so far the fit has been exceptional with minimal clean up and it has taken just over 2 hours to get to this point :0 the chassis has working steering which is a nice touch so far the dash, seats ,cab and rear deck is fitted together with no glue these will be glued once painted Chassis Seats and dash interior components Rear deck Dan B

Dicky I was looking into building one in 1/72 but cant find the AA cannon in this scale so its scrapped for now.

Great love this looks mad, I have this kit and the BMP WITH the 23mm is a build I will be doing very soon, Creative models are doing the meng kit on the cheap.

Found one or two in 1/72 .... Julie at MM have a resin one and Ace Models do a styrene one ... a ZU-23 will be mine ha ha . Might get that conversion done this year after all . Infact this gun has been mounted on several other vehicles including an M113.... choices choices

Ya not wrong there Wouts a real S*****R but somthing different to model that i have not seen achieved yet but saying this im sure someone on here has seen one modelled hopefully getting some bench time this evening

Cheers Dicky what do ya think i should do i have copied my ref photos as closely as i can and i have none of the rear deck so im having to make it up as i go shall i scrap it? make another? thanks for the comments buddy

Dicky if you look at my 4th ref pic the frame there is very similar to mine that looks flimsy as hell also i have put cross beams on the uprights and cross beams which connect the legs together to the truck bed i will take more pics to show you tomorrow
