Okay so here is the ACE 60mm Mortar Carrier (4x4) AML-60 in 1/72 scale. I am going to be building it as a HE60-7 which is the 60mm Mortar and 2x 12.7mm machine guns mounted in the turret. for the finish I will be going with either the Spanish Marine Corps 1975 which is a dark green with markings or the UN formation used in Cyprus in 1974 in a medium green color with marking so basically green. So here is the boxart. Picture of the sprues, the molding is nice with very little flash. This shows the wheels, decals and PE that comes with the kit, yes the tires are made of rubber so painting will be fun. I will also be giving this some extra little touches as the building progresses. Cheers, Thom

Chris it is good to be back, hope to have some fun with this build. Dicky I'm sure about running more like skipping at the moment. As for the glue stands I will have more info on them soon they are bit of a work in progress at the moment. Jeff I think I bought this one at The Spare Time shop in Marlboro MA. Cheers, Thom

Thom You got me drooling with that kit. Man that looks cool. I don't think I've ever seen it before. Do I get a preview at the club meeting next week?

Deano, dupes, danb, Leon, ogrejohn thanks guys I hope to make this one worth the viewing.
Boyd, it is a cool little kit and of course I will have it at the next meeting.
Okay well time for a little build update.
Decide to start with the turret first on this one and decided to do a little work on it since I thought some of the finer detail was a little soft.
I still have to work on the two can spot lights and the 60mm mortar and the two 12.7mm machine guns, will be getting those done in a couple of days.
I just added a little detail here and there.
And one with a No.11 blade for size comparison
Thanks for looking.
Cheers, Thom

Leon, thank you figured I’d start at the top and work my way down. Marc, thank you and you caught that one did you. Andy, thank you but no PE just metal bits and white stuff the PE will be on the body of the vehicle so just keep watching. Gary, thank you it’s just the AMS kicking in as always. Jeff, thank you and yupe it just bits of metal and then a bit of white stuff mainly on the hatch hinges. Deano, thank you I wonder if there is a patron saint for modelers. Cheers, Thom

Thom I love the brass, really adds something. So how is the base kit I know some of the Ace kits can suffer due to limited run
