Hi Everyone So, here is a new build I have been working on, a Tamiya King tiger with Porsche Turret. Its 1/48 so its a good size for me as I slowly progress from 1/72 to 1/35! This is a nice kit, the instructions are great and the die-cast chassis is a great touch too I have also chosen to use some photo etch pieces as well as some new towing cables. More to follow Thanks AJ

Nice start to the quarter-scale KT there AJ, looks like the fenders have had their share of a beating!

I love those 48 scale Tamiya kits. You've got a bang-up start to this one.

Question.... are you going to add periscopes after you paint, or are you just going to leave them off?
And, more of an observation than question.. in the last picture, the seam on the side of the mantlet where it joins the turret sidewall looks like it would benefit from some filler, and possibly, sanding.

Is it really 1/48? It really looks great at that scale especially its details... great work!

Thank you for your responses everyone The base was built up using 12mm grass and some cheap spray adhesive, sprayed with some grass colours and finished off with some flowers and leaves from MiniNatur
