Why worry, each of us is wearing an unlicensed nuclear accelerator on his back.

Hey Guys, I was just wondering if there was a difference between FAA colors and RAF colors. I have a FAA Hellcat and the directions(eduard) call for Olive drab, Grey, and Sky. Is this correct? Also I have a Tamiya MK1 Swordfish that I'm going to do in the Bismarck attack, the one color I have to question is the grey violet? HELP!

Good morning Pete.I' did a bit of digging, and came up with the following for your Hellcat Dark slate grey-FS34096 Extra dark sea grey-FS36099 Sky type S-FS34424 The Hellcats were part of the Lend/Lease scheme,so they may well have come in the US Colours Extra Dark Sea Grey-ANA 603 Sea grey-FS36118 Dark slate grey--ANA 613 Olive Drab-FS34130 Sky-ANA Sky-FS34424 As for the grey violet,RLM 75 shouldn't be too far off what you want. HTH ;D ;D
