Hi Ivan, that's some realistic effects! The texture and welds are shown up nicely also, looks just like a real steel turret. Awesome!!

Man that cast turret looks...............well, cast. The most realistic looking turret and effects I've seen.

thanks ! i seen yours tutorial and there is very thinned AK rust wash .... i'm already been prepared to erase all paint and pigments and start again well....turret still looks monotone.....but green camo color which will be on some places will give nice contrast to rust colors i hope....

I like the turret the way it is....but you have to be happy with it, not me. Yes the green will add contrast to it and liven it up more. Look forward to whatever you do next.

looks great the base rust. That is perfect for the bright rust. If mixed with other shades you can come up with some great effects.

Edi, pigment fixer always darkens the pigments after drying. My experience is you can add a new fine layer of pigments over the dried pigment fixer to lighten the pigments again. Also this new layer will set firmly in the surface now.

Edi, the biggest problem when using mainly pigments is that you can't ( in my experience) do much more after that. I usually always use pigments at the very end or when I know I will not wet the area. When using a fixer or even applying a wash you will almost always darken or even lose the effects of the pigments....especially when doing rust. When I use pigs it's mainly the brightest colors at the end to add variation to the rust. Again this depends on the type of rusting that is needed. You can add different rust effects with enamels, acrylics and oils before adding the pigs. I alternate with different types to get most of my effects then at the end sometimes the pigs for a dry rust. The outside of the T-34 after the fixer is spot on for raw metal that has oxidized and shows some fresh bright rust and still retains the metal appearance. looks damn good right now for that effect. Since the paint and pigs are sealed I would go with adding some color variation with rust and charred burnt paint...then add dry rust pigs that are different bright shades, followed by black pigments.
Just my opinion bro. I love the model and all the great effects you've created here.
Cheers Rob

yeah......................... thanks for advices mr.S.... actually i lost light grey and ocher-red pigment..... next time i know that i must add more light pigments before fixer, i mean to look brighter than needs to be, so when i add fixer shades will be ok (something like on left fender) now i can add paint on some sposts since pigments are fixed and after that on the end can back lost pigments to give little brightnes..... ohhhhhhhh...........the joy of modelling
