Hi folks, I just love the Morris trucks from WWII and this one is no exception:The Morris CS8 truck 15cwt 4 wheeled. I intended to build a "regular" WWII one but for some reason I didn't feel the urge after assembling to start the paint job. Till I found a new destination for him: A Theme Park maintenance truck. Oh yeah. In search for nice figures I found a nice set from Industria Mechanika. These resin casted figures are d#mn sweet and their shapes are a bit "graffiti/urban" style. Never had such figures before and I'm very glad I found them. Ready for some layers of primer. Two more pics here. Bye, Marcel du Long

Thnx folks I'm glad you like it! After a white primer and a decent red preshade following by some orange layers and a blue post shade it's looking something like this. 2 more Right side pics are here. Next will be painting hi-lights and subtile drybrushing details. Followed by painting details & pinwashing. Bye, marcel.

Thnx folks! Little update from the weathering front.... After hi-lighting details, base color detail painting and adding some decals I started weathering with inks. Cheers, Marcel.

Hi Marcel, the wash looks really sharp! What kind of inks are you using? Water soluble?
Cheers JT

Thnx Leon & John. I use Liquitex acyclic inks which I thinned with (normal) water and retouche/blend with Tamiya X20-A thinner. For almost the complete painting weathering stage I use ink along some pigments and Tamiya Smoke. This recipe works perfect for me. =)

Great start with the weathering. Those inks look really effective, at least in your hands Are the decals custom printed?

Thnx Bullardino. All the decals (dry transfres & wet decals) are from the sparebox.

Thnx folks, I'm glad you like it. I finished weathering the left- & front- side. I'm quite tired of painting paintchips right now so I'll give it a break and continue with the build of my Jagdpanzer IV. Bye, marcel.

Awesome weathering. I was admiring your work on FB. Just a little question: what ink tones do you use for weathering?

Thnx gentlemen!
Bullardino, for weathering I normally use Transparent Burnt Umber & Neutral Grey Value 5. For this one I used a bit Titanium white as well at vivid and light orange areas.
Bye, Marcel
