At it again it seems! Don't worry, I will explain the title in a moment.... This time I venture back into the winged world. I will have a go at the 1/48 Scale Fulcrum B “Russian Air Force” from Academy. A good friend Adam (adampolo13) had recently finished a fine review of this very kit on InScale. Link to review: inscale.org/public/?p=8086After his review, where as he was not completely thrilled with overall kit, another good friend by the name of Luigi (Thanks again buddy)set forth the gauntlet by posting a picture to my Facebook wall. (favorite past time it seems of the young and old alike) Anyway, this time the photo was of a somewhat neglected Russian Mig. So, there was no use in letting an idol kit go to waste. Adam was too kind to forward the kit to me (Big Thanks) so I could fulfill the cravings of a misguided modeller. All in all and if nothing else, I would hope this one would put a smile on Luigi's face for a bit! Now I am not too sure as to what I will end up with yet, but I do know I will have some fun getting it there. I managed to even crack the box tonight. With that I could not resist snipping off some parts and having a go at it!!! As with any build, the first cut is always the hardest: This one I will fit in between the many other projects I got going on at the moment, but should move right along!! As always, thanks a bunch for jumping on the bus with this one!!

Dicky - Thank you my friend! I am pleased you will join in on the journey! Still on the fence in respects to where this will go but it will indeed...go!! Phil - Thanks for swinging by!! I might need all the support I can muster!! LOL!! Wingy things have a bad habit of befalling terrible circumstances! Bill - Always a pleasure to see you riding shotgun! Steve - Good to see up front for this one! Cards just sort of fell this way, you know, with the Luigi thing and all!! LOL!! With any luck some light will be shed on this real soon!!! Hang in there!!

Nice. I'm pulling up a chair. I have not heard many positives about the Academy Mig 29 kits. I'm interested to seeing how fit with this one is. I think most of the gripes are about accuracy, no? Meh. Who cares. Anxiously awaiting the first updates.

Hey Jimmy, glad to see you made the bus my friend!! After reading Adam's review (one who sent the kit to me) and talkign with him personally, not to mention it is in front of me...LOL!! Yeah, not to positive might be the right wording. None the matter...fit so far is everything you would expect from the reviews (edit due to the strong language and violence)! With that note, and since you have not taken a ride on the T-bus route before, all these factors may not actually matter due to the nature of my fortuitous wingy manifestations!( I am sure one of the fellas can tell you of my building experiences with these things) I should have something in the way of pictures tonight to help clear things up a bit!!

Heya Boots!! Thanks and glad to have you riding shotgun! I hope it turns out okay....still a bit early to tell!! LOL!!! Time for a little first update on the ole MiG-29. I started putting some parts together in an effort to see where I was driving with this one! Something FUN about shooting from the hip sometime...Just start building and see where it take you. I made some cuts and opened some panels for now...again, need to see what I am doing and go from there. I do know this might not be the most prettiest of aircraft when I am done. A little mock up of what is starting to present itself: I am liking the one wing approach, of course this will mean a little scratch and a little surgery but shouldn't be too bad. I have a few things rolling across the bench so I will be in an out on this one as time permits. Thanks for having a LQQY!!!

LOL..probably not for long my friend!! Thanks! No 'off' days!! Last night was the bulk of this. Tonight was the RG Glass and soon I got the FT to tend too. Steve of Celticwerks Casting Source - www.celticwerks.net/ Came through with a special request...yours truly thought it would be FUN to loose one of the sprockets on a 1/16 FT (no small task btw). I gave him the second and he did his usual outstanding job making me a new one!! Woo Hoo!! Now I can get back to that one too!!! LOL!!!!!
