Another great show! Andy, Nate, Clint, Bruce and I had a great time. Nate has the mug shots of the bunch. I saw the elusive DUKW! Perhaps it was being chased by this giant fish I bought few things Won some swag at the raffle Most of all I enjoyed this! Andy took home so much gongage that he had a hard time getting it all paced away! I'll let him post up all his winnings and swag from the raffle. All in all another great show with good friends!

Congrats John. I have to say it… I told you! haha. Great job. Hey guys. I too had a great time in Indy yesterday. It was great to see these guys again…. Left to Right: Nate (Multicam), Ethan (my son), John (ogre john), Andy (Deafpanzer), Clint (Ironhand6), and Bruce (vipbruce) It was my son's first modeling show and he had a ball. He had the chance to go with mom and do other stuff, but he chose to stay at the show all day with me. He picked up a couple of kits and was so inspired, when we got home, he built one:). I did well in the comp too. I entered my t34/76 in a tough field and didn't place. But I did come home with two gongs for the shelf:) I got first place for my rusty Cat D8H in the commercial and emergency vehicle category. and I got third in the auto diorama category with my "A German in Paris" Porsche 356B and Paris street scene. model in foreground and my son enjoying himself in the background:) All in all a good day out!

My haul from the show... surprised I didn't buy a kit this time. I was more picky since I have too many in my stash. Only wanted one or two kits but they were not at the show... I was thrilled to find those DAK figures from Alpine & Tank as it has been hard getting them lately. NAM figure sets will be for my "future" Huey and Pibber patrol boat builds... But yet I managed to bring home lots of kits... thanks to raffle I bought $20 worth of tickets. LOL I will only keep the Ti-67 if its any good and maybe the Hellcat too. Of course that Star Trek kit will be given to our very sci-fi geek friend here at MSC. Others will be donated to the deaf school as I was asked few days ago before the show if I can teach boys who stays at the dorm after school. I think it was fate or karma waiting to happen because I told them I'd be more than happy to teach deaf boys about modeling. It was a great day! More pictures to come...

Here's my haul from the show but nothing beats seeing buddies and being asked to help with the judging at the show. It was a great experience and I hope to do it again. It has made me more determined to be more involved at the local club more than ever...

I got there in the early afternoon (almost forgot about, and got tanked the night before anyway). Was mostly looking for 1/72 Fujimi jets, and saw nothing. I did pick up a Tasca Firefly ($47), the rest of the parts for the small turret Panther build ($15), and a 7/2 PAK 43 ($30). All kits were new in the box except for the Pz.Kw. IV H. It lacks instructions. I did get to test drive the Grex Airbrushes! Got good coaching from Crazy Don. Now I just got to have one!! In 90 seconds I was painting little lines about .06" wide just as pretty as it got. gary

Gary! Where were you?!?!? Was hoping we'd get to meet finally. I really liked those ABs from Grex too... I was literally just in there and outta there. Been sick for about six weeks now (you'd never know it if you saw me), but walking around there with a jacket on was about to kill me. Something happened last night, and got up this morning feeling 50% better! (must have been the beer last night) I think that other than Crazy Don and the air brush salesman, I didn't talk to anybody other than vendors collecting money from me. I do think I'm getting better, so the alcohol must be winning! gary

Bruce, I am glad you posted those pictures because I didn't take pic of that bust that won 1st place gong in Busts category. I thought it was a great piece work especially that its base was made of castle.

I could never be a judge at one of these. Too many emotions on what I like, what looks great that I could never be fair. So many fantastic looking armor pieces and of course, there's a DUCK in there too! Jeff

I was very disappointed they didn't have animal category!!! Should I contact PETA about this? LOL Thanks for looking. Like I said the show was great despite fewer model entrees this year.
