Dierk as always "thank you" for the kind words..............
So here are the latest shots of the Side skirt support arms...... Please keep in mind two inescapable facts:
1). I hate Photo-etched so I build my own, i say this because no doubt some well intended soul will add that Eduard has a PE set for the Panther in 1/25. 2). When scratch building there is a very fine balance or consideration that MUST be given to keep the part from bending or in this case breaking, so i have added a couple of very small "add on's" to the support arm.

I really admire the dedication you're demonstrating with this project! I'd have probably taken the path of least resistance and opted for the PE.

Looking very skirt-like PJ! Maybe a little bit thick? I'm assuming you have checked that the tracks still fit?

Big "D" it's totally an optical illusion.... another sorry side effect of my photography skills. I used .20 thousands sheet, NO WAY that's too thick.
As for the brackets, nothing is set or cemented. Everything is just set for picture taking......(plus I just checked with the skirts in their current position, we're A-OK,) But thank you none the less

I'm glad to hear it - too lazy to convert .20 thou into something intelligble, but it sounds thin the picture makes it look like 0.5mm

Well, I bet you thought this one went the way of the Dodo bird. I'll give you it's been awhile...LOL. Today I got in the mail a VERY VERY pleasant surprise from my friend BillieJean. For those that didn't know she does resin casting work.... And for those scoring at home she does a FAN-NAG-TASTIC job. She did some critical parts for this build. (Please see the pic's). So the next time I hit the "wall" with the Ausf "L" L will be working on the Berge.........
BillieJean, A). Many THANKS B). AWESOME work C). Many Thanks

Just for the record... those are the main fuel cells, the master I made, and the "C" hooks that no BergePanther can be without.

I should probably give a small explanation, you see I really aspire to the Shep Paine concept of "if you don't have to build the entire whatever, just build shapes of it". In this case engine details. I doubt I will ever show this at a competition, BUT if I did, you would be trying to look down a 3/4 inch by 1/2 inch opening that is covered by mesh. Doubtful you could get a GOOD look inside, if you did that would mean you are a SEATTLE IPMS GEEK complete with pocket flashlight and dental mirror. Otherwise you might get the impression of what looks like a WWII German Panther tank engine compartment. The whole idea is just the impression, I am NOT going for correct "rivet counting" detail thank you very much....... Oh and in the circular openings I have the Panther engine fans, so again doubtful you could see anything.
Thanks...sorry about the rant....

Nothing to worry about on the 'shapes' vs. 'real' constructions PJ! Fill up space and no one will be the wiser. That wench is a beauty for sure.

AFV, Leon, Bill, Thank you kindly gents..... This one is a doosy. Lots of details, lots of "how will this fit with that", and lots of idle time....But my hope is to get her completed.
Thanks again for looking in and sharing thoughts.

PJ, your winch (wench? I am confused..) Don't worry about being confused Jens - that's what we're here for It's just a play on words. Do an image search for 'wench' and you'll see

OMG....lol. Obviously my english teachers in school did not told me everything... German English teachers are like driving instructors - they teach you to pass the test, after that the real learning begins

Sounds like the Marine way of teaching. They tell you what their going to tell you, then they tell you, and, finally they tell you what they just told you.
