Hello everybody, Here's a weird and wonderful technique I've come accross in Modell Fan, probably the biggest German modelling magazine. Strangely, it requires a product that is not easily available in Germany: Marmite This is supposedly a food-stuff - you either love it, or more likely, hate it. However, as a modelling product it is great! Once you've painted your model, give it a coat of satin/matt lacquer (although it has worked well for me without this precaution before, better safe than sorry, ey?) Then dab on Marmite with a sponge: Spray on acrylic white: And almost immediately scrub the model under running water with a stiff brush and/or tooth brush: then detail paint and weather to finish the model. Hope you like this, Dierk

GOSH! With food stuff? WOW Never thought about that. Result do look great! Glad you're liking it! I had never considered it either - whenever I spotted it in a supermarket in England, I subconciously speeded up as the thought alone is enough to make me want to hurl. As a foodstuff I find it utterly disgusting. But I'm a fan now - just don't expect me to eat it lol.
