Fantastic job so far mate! I will (at some stage) be building a large scale Apache, and want to filth it up. This build is an inspiration! Cheers, Sam

What is this filter you speak of? My understanding of a filter is that it is designed to varies the hues and tones of the paintwork to give a more "lived in" and less monochromatic look. It is used a great deal by the armour modelling fraternity, and is being seen more and more with aircraft. It is essentially a very thin wash, designed to tint the paintwork. Those in the know can feel free to chime in and straighten me out if I got any of that wrong.... AK and Ammo sell a lot of different filters designed specifically for different periods and theaters. Unfortunately there is not a lot of filters available for aircraft so we have to make our own, or use armour stuff. I have yet to use a filter, so I can't say much more than that. Hope that helps!! Cheers, Sam
