Ha, seems we both have nearly the same taste in clothing! I have painted the Pilot nearly in the same colour scheme (first I thought I could make him a woodland pattern camouflage on the trouser, but dropped it) and the female mechanic wears the same colours, but vice versa with BLACK leather shoes. AND some lip gloss (even front gals should wear it!) Looking cool so far Terry and heck, am I jelous for the Fujimi kit!!

Frank Most of the pictures I've seen seem to have them in sort of a Field Gray color uniform. Dangit I forgot the gals lips! I'll fix that tonight. Thanks!

Yeah, really good! And it shows that a top paintjob can even enhance not so well done figures (I mean here the little bit soft sculptings). Great done here, Terry!

Absolute cool idea! But where will you place the lift? Is there enough space on the landing plattform?

Absolute cool idea! But where will you place the lift? Is there enough space on the landing plattform? Frank It is basically where it is going to be. It will be used to bring tools up to the platform and as a work area.

Sure, I meant where will you place it on the base? It is a permanent installation, means, will you cement it somewhere? That was my question regarding to the space which is usable for such a detail.

Frank Yeah this is where it will be. This is really the only place it will fit and not be the focal point of the diorama. I have made the display asymetrical intentionally so the viewer is forced to look more closely. So if the gantry hangs over the border of the base that was my intention.

The figure looks awesome Terry! Can I ask who makes that garage and tools set? Thanks in advance mate, Cheers JT If ordering The Fujimi 1/24 scale TOOLS set ( which is excellent ) one must take care to get the correct set. There are 3 different sets with very similar packaging. If you look at the box art of this set bottom of page 18 you can see that the word TOOLS is in solid lettering and the items are clearly pictured on the box - This is the TOOLS. If the word Garage is in solid letters and the tools items in the picture are more of a ghosted image then that set is the Garage which is a base and two walls. Comes with a door and window and clear panels to fill in the other two sides and another clear panel for a top. Built up it becomes a display case. The third set you get both the garage and the tools. Both words are in solid letters. I have heard of quite a few people buying these sets on line and getting the wrong set. Hope this is helpful. Easy to find on ebay sometimes can find for around $10. but usually around $20.
There is also a really nice 1/35 scale set made by Diopark if someone is looking for a smaller scale set. Diopark Factory Tools Set 1 #35006
Skull and Cross Bones Decals - Small. I was searching for some of these for Crazy Ernies Car ( Gallery Section - My Weird Little World ) I could not find anything suitable within modelling world. I eventually found some Nail Art decals on Aliexpress.( For decorating finger nails ) I paid about $8 and got sent a dozen packets of water slide decals. Each packet contained quite a few decals and several different styles. So I ended up with at least a hundred assorted skull and bones decals suitable for several scales.
Hope this info is helpful
As far as your thread goes.....Fantastic work. After seeing some of the posts here I am developing an interest in Sci-fi modelling.
