North Africa group Build Starts April 1st and ends on Sept 30th MSC member Satch, will be leading the N. Africa GB this time around. The N. Africa GB covers all areas of the N.Africa campaign and all genre of models are accepted in the GB....planes, ships , tanks, figures etc. As long as it served in the N.Africa area from 1936 until 1943, it can be entered. Also, Previously started models are accepted in this GB as long as it is not completely finish, or should not be more than 75% built. You may enter more than one model if you wish. If you have the kit box, please post a pic of it so all can see which kit it is and what it looks like. Sprue shot are not needed but go for it if you want to. This GB thread will be unlocked on the 1st of April when it officially starts. Lets have fun and build some models.

Here is my entry in the N. Africa GB. I had started this one a couple of years ago. The trailer is from Tamiya and the Tank from dragon. This is what I wanted to do but didn't have this image at the time. Now I can see most of the trailer. My trailer will have some burnt wheels etc. I'll get some pics up of the model soon.

Nice project Rob, sounds and looks interesting. Think I'm redrawing my Tiger entry...I tried the salvage the thing today but small parts keep comin' loose and it isn't motivating at all... Maybe I'll make a wreck out of her one day but it won't be soon. And of course I'll have to build the Tiger all over again from new kits because I still want the Tiggy built someday... anywhooo...curious for the other entries ^^ Cheers

There are a few PZ IV's from the TimeLife collection of color images that I would love to build.
Wout's sorry to hear buddy about the Tiggy. I am sure you have something you can enter besides a Tiger !!!

I have a lot of different builds on the go and a a little bit in the stash, but nothing which fits the Afrika theme...unless someone has spotted a Panther A in the Afrika theatre ^^

The trailer is built and I had primed and base rust coated that, but it needs to be redone after I remove all the dust. I will start with this first. With the new painting and weathering products and techniques available it will be easier and much more fun to do this.

Was locked Spud but we're getting closer to April and the other thread was getting long. Doesn't mean you have to start today. We can post what we will be doing, then take it from there. I think a couple of days won't make a big diff especially when started kits can be entered.

Very cool Dan.
Spud you have time bro.
robbo....hhhhm....those seem to be nearly finished and might not fit the bill. You could finish them in the GB and maybe start another. If they were in the building and the start of painting it would be ok. ...oh hell, if no one has any objections then go for it bud. main thing is to have fun ey. Will be good to see the HT get done. I too like the chipping and weathering.

they did release one under the CyberHobby logo, but it was a single run kit and you can still find it on e-bay... ...with prizes between 200 and 500€...I might be crazy, but not that crazy ;D ;D Cheers

satch: thanks mate: my previous Africa Tiger (the one I ruined) was a Tamiya Africa Tiger as base kit: however: some issues were there to get a correct version (amongst them: the fuel filler caps on the engine deck weren't correct) and it hasn't got weld marks. So I'm goin' for the Initial Tiger I (6600) kit, because that one is easier ;D appreciate the help though Cheers
