Sorry you won't be there, Marc. Stay warm and be productive. See you in the spring.

Thanks Al! Yeah, it looks like it was a good decision - the forecast for tomorrow is getting worse instead of better. Definite dumping of snow. Sights set for Valleycon in March!

Snowing like crazy way down South, in MA we are looking at rain and wind and then back to a pounding of snow for Maine...crazy! Stay warm and enjoy the extra bench time if you get it Dupes!!

Uuuhhhhhgggg!!! Never mind. I just checked accuweather. Looks like you're in for a good bit of nastiness.
Get that plow on the truck, bundle up with some hot coffee and a few good builds and hunker down 'til its over.

Getting dark - figured I'd better take a pic. It's still snowing at a solid clip. Appears we made the right decision about today! Hope you guys all had a good time at the show.

Oh, it's way more than that...almost eight. The truck got cleaned off for a trip to town a few hours ago, and the wind is topping out close to 50mph so it's getting blown all over the place.

And so it begins!! 'Let it snow, let it snow, let is snow'!! It spit some of the white stuff pretty much all day, but nothing collected on the ground really. There was a bunch of sun for the ride home...down here at least! Looks like you need to set your sights on W&W now Dupes! 5 Months buddy!! I figure 15 - 20 builds for you?

Turnout was very low, with even local regulars among the missing, and dealers were sparse as well. Steve K did not announce his challenge and Terry's wife and son are having health issues that kept him away. The several armor categories had a total of maybe 40 entries among them.
Charles Crowley took best of show with a completely scratchbuilt 1/25 Air Force rescue truck. It seemed to take an inordinately long time to compile the awards, especially with the numbers of entries.

I agree, it did seem a bit slower than in the past and the entries seemed down...not including the 20 or 30 Dupes would have brought to the show! Maybe the weather kept away the visitor count this time! Well, W&W is always a good time!! Tick Toc....time flies!!

Man...now I'm even more bummed I couldn't come - had stacks of armor to enter!
Was it mostly weather related? Don't know how bad it was down that way today.

That is a relative term I suppose Dupes! there was weather...was it that bad...no, but with snow flying there would be the probability that some would thing it was too bad to come out!! LOL!! Can you tell I just got done working on a Theoretical Probability question with a 14 year old? Seriously? What can we do that would give up a Theoretical Probability outcome of 1/4 & 2/9? I came up with Rolling Dice...but what do I know? LOL!!!

I can say that the weather south and east of the show was BAD. I came from basically the entrance to the Cape, and the snow challenged the ride 90 percent of the ride... both ways. I considered turning around twice.

Coming from the west, we had clouds and wind to the Rhode Island line, then a mixture of borderline snow/rain precipitation. No accumulation or sticking. Several times. I looked outside a couple times and it looked to be wet snow that didn't stick. Going home it was partly cloudy, windy, cold and dry.

The Steve Kwasny challenge for this year at Baycon is the MBT "Main Battle Tank" any country, any type. We are still trying to sort out the aircraft challenge as Terry and his family has had health issues and nothing has been heard of him. Hopefully all is better for him but I will post the aircraft challenge as soon as we know.

Hey GIl,
Great news on the MBT's and the wingy stuff when you get it! We/you can start a new topic in the show area for 2015 if you want. I am sure there is or will be a flyer up at some point on the BayCon site?

MBTs, eh? Sounds good!
Will keep my eyes peeled for the aircraft subject as well.

Just a little note. The Hall that we usually host the show in is being sold. So far the status is still a go for this year but is tenuous. Our club is in the process of locating a new venue and hopefully it will be sorted out by the time the flyer is printed.

Just found out that the aircraft challenge for this year at Baycon is the Me262, any variant.
