Gag, seeing these detailed "step by step" is a bit like standing right at your side in your working space watching you drilling and sanding the wood. Ultra cool work here and I guess you will be happy when the superdetailing starts. Or not, because you enjoy the whole build. Anyway, this is Masterwork!

Merry New Year, Welcome everyone to 2015, I hope everybody had a fun and safe Christmas and New Years holiday and I wish you all the best for the coming year. Thank you all for stopping by for a chat So too business, Well, I only had two days of bench time over the holidays because my Mommy was visiting. First, I cut the central pipe/bearing shaft and drilled holes in the outer panels of the engine support arms, this was so I could re-align and square up a bit, the side support arms. I will clean the pipe end flush later. I then cut and glued a piece of 1/8" styrene to the bottom of the engine support arm, 1.0mm on the top, oversized so it could be trimmed back, Trimmed, Replaced the underside of the neck piece with 1mm styrene, Screwed in place, With engine support arms, More filling and sanding and filling and sanding........ Then, dum dum daaaaa,............Primer Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Primer That's all for now Take care Gag

Missed the launch of this monumental undertaking. I was aghast when I saw the dimensions. Not that I see the materials this is gonna be one heavy beast. Not into the sci fi that much but seeing this come together will be cool. If you noticed the "monumental" is italicized. Keep that word in mind... In my best Jamaican accent, "Yeah mon, you mental!" I mean that in the nicest of ways.

It's just so damned neat! I think you ought to leave the pink foam area unpainted. The epoxy coat and symmetrical lines gives it a non-human/insect sort of look.
Any guess as to what it will weigh when finished?
