Outstanding mottling on the fuselage. Did you use fun-tac for the camo on winds and spine?

Thanks guys! Outstanding mottling on the fuselage. Did you use fun-tac for the camo on winds and spine? Actually, all the camo work (aside from some very limited straight-edge masking) was done freehand. I picked up an Iwata CM-B Custom Micron about a year ago, gently used and needing a new needle. Finally got around to getting that new needle and giving the thing a good cleaning. HOLY COW. It does the finest lines with the greatest consistency of any airbrush I've ever touched. Literally makes my HP-C+ feel like a rattlecan. It's what I used for the camo this time around and I have to give it a lot of credit for the quality of the demarcation lines.

I have to say that is pretty remarkable. I mean dayum, that some kinda fine. I looked that AB up and that does come at a price. That will have to be placed on a wish list though.

noticed that you asked if the prop blades were made of wood. All 109's use metal props, but think there might have been a few K4's or K6 prototypes built with wooden props. Also read somewhere that the metal finish 109's were actually bare metal due to paint shortages.
Your build is smoking hot! gary

This one is officially put to bed! I'll post a final pic once I have a chance to process all the shots through Lightroom.
