Just a thought... Was checking out a Zeke in 1/48 in a mag this morning and thought ...damn I haven't done a Japanese WWII plane in about 30 years. With all the great kits, painting and weathering products and techniques it would be cool to build a Zero or Zeke again. So, is anyone up to it. It would be a GB that would start after one or two of the other GB's end......watcha think. I'll check the show tomorrow for a kit and a good deal. Will build one anyways.

I'm definitely in. I fell in love with jap stuff building the K5Y1, and I was looking forward to building some more. I'd like to build a bimotor like, maybe, a Betty. It'll need some experiments with alclad metal paints, masked hinomarus and lots of hairspray

Yeah it would be cool to do a Japanese (politically correct LOL) plane again. I too want to do the HS on it showing the bare metal under the green....or something else.

Was talking with some of the fellas who were at the show yesterday, and we talked about the GB's. Was thinking of changing the GB to include all PTO aircraft. So who likes that idea Lots of very cool aircraft in the PTO.

I almost bought myself a Zero a couple of weeks back so I would be very tempted by this one. It's one aircraft that really intrigues me so I will do what I can to buy one and hopefully it'll be in time for the GB. Excellent suggestion Rob.

Does June 1st for a start date sound good ?? This will give the Me guys time to finish. That sounds perfect for me Rob, gives me a chance to raise the funds after my recent spending spree. I just looked at the prices of the Zero's I had on my list and I'll need that time especially with AM parts too. Rob said : Are we all for the PTO Gb and include US aircraft !!! OR Just Japanese PTO ??I'd love the extra option to do either US or Japanese Rob. Mainly because the Grumman Avenger has been on top of my to do list since day one of this hobby for me. It would be a superb opportunity and good reason to fork out the money. But I'd still be happy with a Japanese only PTO too

Good to hear fellas, all round PTO aircraft. Boo, yeah was tempted to get the Avenger yesterday, something about those planes ey. The Avenger is a great model. If you can't grab the original accurate, you can still buy the italeri reprint, which is all the same stuff but the instuctions. Please, if it starts on June 1st make it last at least until mid november, as here in july and august is nearly impossible to build anything...
