Hi gents. Well I have hit the home stretch. road wheels and stowage are primed and the main build portion is completed. The Smoke launchers were a disaster so I scratched new ones. Only thing lefrt to assemble are the tracks, this looks like a freaking nightmare. individual horns adhered to DS tracks............ This should be interesting. I ordered some paint, like I really needed more, but I wanted to match the Israeli color correctly, plus I get to use and test Lifecolor for the first time. Shes going in the booth to get primed now, then its color time. Bob

Leon - thanks buddy. I was going to prime in black but ran out. I wanted to try the Vallejo primers so I hit the hull in 730614 IDF Israeli Sand Grey 61-73. A bit light but with the base coat and some modulation it should be OK. I finally worked out getting this stuff sprayed on correctly. First couple of times was an EPIC fail.

wbill - thank you ceresvesta - Got to hand it to Lifecolor, paint sprays on like silk. Dave - thanks brother. Still waiting to here on your schedule for a weekend of SCOTCH. Ok some quick shots of where Im at now. Some more stowage and bits have been added. Pin wash and dot filtering have also been completed (1st stage) While the stowage looks ok ties down position may have been an issue. Easy solution......Milliput tarp! Today the wife wants the Christmas decorations and tree to go up and Lord knows dont piss off an Asian woman. Ill be married 16 years this December 2nd.......why........becasue I know my role......LMAO. More detailing this evening and have an extra day off so hopefully at some point ill have the tracks on and the tarp tied down in between decorating adventures. Bob

First couple of years my wife and I went crazy with decorations. Then my wife added cats to the household and the third year was an eye-opening experience for her in that regard. Since then no tree or decorations. Makes life very simple when it comes to Christmas! Nice progress on the Sherman there Bob, tarp looks good.

wbill - I get it now, Im off to purchase 14 cats....................WooHoo NO MORE DECORATIONS......Wait, ill be homeless................crap! Well i was looking at the tarp and notices something that if in reality the tank would not run correctly and the crew would suffocate due to exhaust fumes. if you look in the picture above you will notice that one of the exhaust outlets is covered by the tarp..................OK SO IM ANAL! I could not leave it that way so I busted out the Milliput again and did the next best thing: Im sanding these a bit now and will get some primer on this evening. Bob the anal one

Tarps v2.0 look good Bob! As for the cat solution you don't need that many...just 1-2 (especially if kittens!) will do the trick.

Leon - thank you buddy
T - thanks buddy. it felt like a longer build to be honest. I think I could have done better.
Word of warning to everyone wanting to dip into this kit. when assembling the sprockets DO NOT use the alignment pins. The splines will not line up even causing the track not to sit correctly on them.
The return idler in the rear needs to be dropped, the instructions want you to cut off the mounting but it is better to drop the whole assembly.
The jerry cans are a bit to wide and will not fit into the racks correctly, you will have to thin them out evenly to fit correctly.
Purchase an aftermarket barrel, the kit one is horrible. I usually try to build OOB to test my sanity but holy crap just buy a barrel for this one.
Front transmission housing fit to main hull is a freaking mess.
If Cyberhobby took a little more time in QA this would be a killer kit. I enjoyed the build despite the issues. I think Im going to fine the Tamiya M51 and have a go at that one. Ill probably stick on the IDF kick im on now so Im looking at the Merkerva in the stash...........maybe, or maybe an IDF Zelda conversion.

Good morning brother, The kit may have given you fits but, one would never know that by the final results. :)That being said…..it's a Dragon kit….'nut said. If you're still having trouble with the Lifecolor paints, lets plan a trouble shooting session. Check your PM for incoming. No need to take cover. Dave
