Bob it's going to be another long summer again! The Mrs is already making a list of stuff we need to get the garden in shape. Looking forward to getting this done so i can get back to the Panther.

Not bad at all for your first crack at it Leon! Like many things, it takes some practice to get the hang of it. At the moment, it appears kind of uniform (airbrush applications tend to do that), but if you work on areas like the wheels and such and add some variation there in the follow-on steps, you should be able to make it look right at home on the base you've got planned.

Bill thank you for comment it very much appreciated! I'll work on the wheels and i need to work on the back of the plow as i imagin it would collect a lot of dust.

Looking good for a first attempt at AB dusting Leon - and I agree with Bill, it looks a bit too uniform especially around the tires.

Nice work with the dust, looks good.I like the AK dust myself,I hand brushed it on my Stryker and then used the thinner to spread it around and remove as much as I needed,it was pretty easy to work with.

It looks pretty good!!! Next time try and go for 30/70 paint/thinner mix... the thinner the more you can spray in few runs. You can't go wrong with that...

Fine first layer Leon. Of course, I'm biased, I like 'em filthy, as much as can be in context.

Evening guys! In gave the wheels and tires a little more dust.I like it so far but I'm thinking the sides of the upper and lower hull can use a little more dust. What do you guys think? I don't want to go overboard on this. Thanks for looking,as always ACW.

Leon
Apologies not sure what happened but I somehow missed this until now - and I see it took a LONG time.
As you know, what I know about airbrushes won't fill the back of a postage stamp but I love the kit you finish and the whole dio in general.
Well done!
Andrew

Andrew thank you! No appologies nessecery. This has been sitting on the shelf for the past 7 months and decided it was time to finish it. As far as the airbrush, this is still a learning process for me so your not alone.

Looking good Leon! I agree with you that the back could do with a bit more dust - and yes, I'm well familiar with the fear of overdoing it - difficult to tell from the photo, but it appears that on the left side in particular the dust seems to tail off toward the back. Are you going to add dust to the top of the hull (AB/pigments)? Looks a bit clean to me.

Bruce thank you!
Dierk thank you! I'll add a little more dust to the sides. Not sure about the top yet.I don't have any pigments so they would have to be ordered.

You could always go over it with the AB?

Great suggestion Dierk! Looks like i'll have to do a little test spraying before I commit and don't over do it.

Whatever you add to the top, do it in very light passes and wait a little bit in between each pass to evaluate how it's 'stacking up'. Sometimes if you do it too quickly before the carrier dries and you can see what's really going on, you've committed too far. Tires are looking good Leon, just remember that when that little voice says 'maybe I should add a little more' that's usually the sign that you've already done enough.
