Where have I been?! I've missed a whole series of "ball and chain" jokes. Dang it, I should get out more. Anyway, I have this exact combination (minus the Friuls, at the moment) in the stash, so I promise to pay attention in class.

Tojo - thanks buddy appreciate it.
Dave - my brother, yes it was the way to go. Extreamly labor intensive but worth it.
Bill - thanks bud. The Vallejo idf primer leaves a good base.

Merry Christmas gents. hope Santa was good to you all. Didn't know what the noise was at about 4am and took a couple of shots till I realized it was that fat felon breaking into my house...........LOL. Got the pre shading and base coat on. in between messing with other fiddlies I am getting the Fruils done. The yellow tool you see there is from an old knife sharpening kit. I use the medium and fine grit ones to take down the nubs on PE instead of a file. Im using this one to take down and flatten out the brass rod after I clip it off the track once inserted. Works like a charm. more on the way. Bob

Chris - thank you. I used Vallejo 73.614 IDF sand gray primer, shading with Tamiya flat black and the base coat with Lifecolor UA-035 IDF sand gray 1982. Modern IDF armor has many varients and this is one of the shades used.
Christophe - thank you my. Friend. These work excellent on PE and never damage the part.

All of that labor paid off brother. Check out R&J for Fruils. They seem to have the better prices around. I picked up a set for my Ha-Go for under $40. Dave
