Ok to get the mojo flowing again my self and Wouter have decided on a panther build off. His will be the Panther A by DML mine a cheap kit by Zvesda the Panther D which looks pretty good for the price, So here she is. i happen to have a panther barrel in my spares. how Lucky... i will be using Etmodel storage bins i bought for a jagdpanther and some other bits also. The Tracks are workable so i will see how they look once assembled, Sofar i see some pin holes on the face of some of teh tracks not a good start but we will see how many are like this before i take the lunge and start drilling out the fruils i have which are also belong to teh jagedpanther First thing i will do today is some track.

If I had the time I would join in with an old Italeri Panther.

im not happy with the tracks to many pin marks on teh face of them ill show a pic later. So it looks like fruils but i think i may still put a length of them together and see how they look

Actually this thread and reading the reviews on the new Zvezda Panther D made me drag back out my Panther II build. Did I ever mention that I liked Panther tanks? I just may have to get that new Zvezda kit so I am so in here guys! Jeff

This will be fun to watch. I'm in...but I'm keeping an eye on that Deano character...he seems a little too enthusiastic for comfort.

ah nice, except for the Panther F (which still isn't painted yet) and a JagdPanther I never built a 'real' Panther. So I was glad when Spud came with this idea. I got a kit in my stash, the CyberHobby Panther A late, based on the Japanese (sadly never translated) comic about the 'Black Knight' company, drawn by Motofumi Kobayashi. Luckily it comes with a metal barrel and some etch. I'll be be cannibalising the Friul Panther tracks which I used on the F (gotta see if they are the correct ones). Still hesitating wether I'd do a Normandy one or one on my favourite theatre: the Eastern Front. Suggestions and cool photos of Panthers are welcome Cheers

I just love the boxart! This is going to be a very HAWT build thread. I only wished I had thought of it myself! Jeff

Deano its in the lower part of the track face. sure i could hide it with mud but ild know it was there and it would annoy me Instructions start with the turret on this, A nice change from wheels. Also the instruction sheet is as clear as Tamiya Very nice so far. The kit comes with a partial turret interior it wont be seen but nice all the same, better pics once the turret is complete. Not bad sofar.

Turret looks nice, wish that Dragon did this with their turrets.. better then a black hole when the hatches are open. Never seen the kit live but how are the wheels? I believe they don't look that great? Still have a D premium edition in the stash so not gonna buy this version soon but some day..

just looked at the wheels. there not dragon or tamiaya quality for sure but there not all that bad. good paint job and weathering and they will do the job nicely.
