Wouter- LOL! I have the original kit of Wittman Tiger that I bought for only $50. I thought about selling it earlier but I changed my mind. I'd love to see pictures of your when you have the chance.

haven't opened the box yet but it is cramped...this Tiger is a diferent one btw, yours is a late one on the Western front, this is an earlier type...the figures suit a award ceremony where the crew received decorations from Jochen Peiper and Oberführer Theodor Wisch.
I'll try to open it and take some shots...will be after the weekend though since I'm working this weekend
Cheers

Mine is earlier type too I think.... here's the picture. It says Early Production. Cyberhobby offers late production with camo that Michael Whitman used at the end of war. I am very curious how much difference we will see between old and new kit. Should I buy the new kit too? LOL

LOL! Me too I didn't know until I saw it at the seller's house. Had to grab it as I figure it is worth something. But it doesn't sell as much as the late version normally around $150. For this early version, I often see it sold for $100. Now with the recent release, it is $80 or $90 so I think I should hold mine and build it one day... it comes with metal barrel too.
You want buy my Tunisia Tiger next? LOLOLOL

My next project just arrived in the mail today- The kit comes with three (Three!) Tachikomas as well, I'll be using them to experiment with paints in anticipation of a larger scale detailed Tachikoma model to arrive in a few weeks from Japan. Hopefully one will come out well enough to let me recreate the scene in which the Jigabachi appears.

Looks really cool! Allow me one question: What is it, some kind of flying Mech (no Mech indeed but from the universe of them?). Pretty amazing!

Thanks Frank! Ghost in the shell isn't quite mech-warrior type technology, but very close to it. Mostly cyborgs and walking, thinking tanks. The Jigabachi is an AI-controlled (but pilot capable) attack helicopter sort of like an air version of such a tank. It's an interesting choice for the producers to make into a kit, as to my knowledge it only appears in one scene in one episode, and not in a particularly featured capacity (Google reveals more results for this kit than the actual craft in the show). There are powerer armor suits and other tanks that have much bigger roles and greater aesthetic appeal, but there are only 3 or 4 kits from the show at all so I'm hoping to get all of them in time.

In the meantime the postman rang my door and guess what he had for me? These will be the perfect complement for my ISU and a KV1 incoming later this year. And they will also be the perfect testbed to practice figure painting, one of the areas I want to improve.

A diversion from the Kyryll, and my first tank model- I almost got the Tamiya motorized WW1 Mark IV Male, but didn't feel like paying hundreds for a motor I didn't really want to use. Besides, I'm really after a Mark VIII to put a turret on and make the tank from Last Crusade.

Awesome choice on the AVRE. Im trying not to purchase any new kits in 2015, but that AVRE MK IV and the new tamiya S35 are tempting me pretty badly.

Thank you Jeff! I'm usually after stranger vehicles but at 50% off and with AFV club on the box I couldn't resist Indeed Deafpanzer, the preponderance of local tanks might have been an inspiration! The very night after I started in on it though, this came in the mail from Japan: Also a "tank," but a future thinking one that sounds like a little girl on helium. I'm going to try to light this one with LEDs or Fiber Optics. I haven't done a lit model since I attempted a fiber optic DS9 as a kid. It worked. Somewhat... The model also comes with the Tachikoma's driver, which will be my first figure built and painting. Have to go get flesh tone paints now...
