Workable out of the printer? What? If that's true, and they're remotely affordable, why would I use anything else? Right? I'm just thinking when we see the review he will have found they are too fragile to much more than look at...or paint melts them...etc... Yep, workable out of the printer. Honestly having messed with them for a bit, I'm still having trouble getting my head around it. They are a little bit stiff in places...like one link will articulate freely but the next ten stay straight, but with a tiny bit of pressure they free up and articulate, too. So far they seem pretty resilient. Haven't been too abusive to them yet, but they don't seem any more fragile than, say, the workable tracks on the Leos I'm building. Paint remains a huge question. I'm planning to tackle one run with Gunze primer and another with acrylic to see how they handle. Oh and dupes - $20. Honestly, at this level of detail and convenience, I'd be totally willing to pay the equivalent of Friuls (assuming I don't find any gotchas with the painting).

I am crossing my fingers that your paint tests are a success because at 20 bucks they seem like a spectacular value.

Now that should prove very interesting Doogs! If they can stand up to paint and weathering, this will be a whole new frontier in the AM track department I'm sure. From what I understand the plastic used in 3D printing isn't the same as the polystyrene we're used to in model kits, but I have no idea what the differences might be in its formulation or reaction potentials to solvents of any kind. Looking forward to seeing your test results!

Twenty bucks? For real? For fully assembled workable tracks?
See you later, Friul. Love you guys, but at 60 a pop these days I think I'm done!

These showed up yesterday. 3D-printed Hotchkiss tracks. Fully workable. And printed that way. No cleanup, and really great detail for things are at most 7-8mm wide. Working on a review for the blog now... This would be uber cool in 1/72 .... would possibly start a revolution!

He's kidding, Marc. Don't drink that!
And WHY AM I THE ONLY PERSON ON THE PLANET THAT CAN'T GET MY HANDS ON THE BLACK PRIMER? Seriously, every time I try to order it "Out of Stock."
The Eduard Emil looks to be a great kit from the builds I've seen. You should like it.

I did the one the hour hike to my favourite hobby shop with the father-in-law today. I was there for the Ammo weathering set and to play chauffeur because he doesn't like driving in big cities anymore. Then this happened. Lots of great deals today. I've wanted the Zundapp forever now, the miniart building was $15 and the dinosaur was a weird $6 impulse buy. I have a 2 yr old son, that loves dinosaurs and the show "Dinosaur Train" on PBS. Think I may paint it up like this little guy for his shelf. Looking forward to it as an airbrushing exercise. Little tentative about possibly creating a demonic version of a kids cartoon character. Cheers #57

I've got a couple of the Tamiya dinos packed away for when the kids get older. They are pretty neat.
Been playing with the Ammo stuff on some spares too and I think you'll like it.

They'd go well together for a "B-movie" "Creature Feature" diorama... Cheers, M

They'd go well together for a "B-movie" "Creature Feature" diorama... Cheers, M I kind of thought that myself. The Dino kit is only slightly newer then an actual dinosaur. It sort of looks more like a guy in a 50s movie monster rubber suit then anything.

Got another wood kit the other day from a friend. An older kit, dated 1993. A nice little sailer. "Elsie" a 1910 American fishing schooner. A model shipways kit. Makes in to a 21 1/2" long by 16" high model, 1/8" = 1 foot. It's a plank on solid hull build. I'm looking forward to doing this baby as soon as my little wood flattie is finished.

You don't need to add much...the Tasca plastic is amazing. But I'd recommend a metal barrel.

Even having a Dragon Firefly in the stash I suspect after fondling this one I'll be grabbing that one too.
It looks pretty dang nice on the sprues. I had pretty much already determined a metal barrel would be in the mix here.

These are my newest additions...probably the last ones for a while, house hunting at the moment so I will need all the savings I have to make a purchase and more importantly my own man cave. Some of these are OOP and got them for a steal!! Note: These are not painted by me at all!! If I can get them looking half decent I will be happy! My first female figure...I think I'm in love with her My precious!! YS masterpieces creepy looking joker, not so in love with him but at 7€ I can't complain The sculpting on this one is amazing, a steal at 10€

I am just wondering where THE HECK you guys get all this cheap stuff! Congrats to some cool buyings, Shay! The woman is great and offers lots of possibilities! The Joker/Jester, ok, but I think with a little bit of sculpting here and there, you can turn it into something special. But my favorite is the Gollum. How cool is this bust, really great! The last figure? I haven´t seen this bust anywhere? Could be the german insane actor Klaus Kinski? Anyway, stuff enough for cool working hours. And maybe someday in you own mancave!
