The Takom tracks (to me) do seem to be a little more crisp - if just ever so slightly. The easier assembly puts them way ahead it seems. I've never been that into modern armor but Im just about ready to pull the trigger on the Takom kit. Both of these are killer though. Just think I prefer the look of that version.

I've never been that into modern armor, either, but lately I find myself drawn to a lot of the later Cold War stuff for some reason. Meng just dropped their 1A5 and if it's anything like this 1A3 the tank itself is a crisper build than the Takom, but a lot fussier in some aspects (many small parts). Honestly, while the Meng tracks were a lot more of a PITA to build, they were actually easier to install. They're workable, but have a certain stiffness to them so it was easier to line them up on the return rollers and glue them down. Might have been more of an issue if I were doing full runs, but I didn't see the point with the side skirts.

The 1A3 hasn't been forgotten! Primer down! Still lots of little bits to attend to before I get to start throwing the NATO camo.
