Good to hear your starting little Dupes early! Just make sure he doesn't lock you out of the basement!

Still plenty of time left in the year for the Dupes factory to keep on humming! Nice trio of additions Dupes. You're right about the 3D print lines, once you mentioned it they kind of jump out at you if you look closely. You still did a good job with it despite the limitations on possible techniques!

You're right about the 3D print lines, once you mentioned it they kind of jump out at you if you look closely. Totally, right? I know that 3d printer tech has improved since this kit was produced, but still - it's got me very wary of anything that hasn't had every surface sanded smooth after the printing process!

Alright, this is the mostly-failed "decals from hell" project. 1/72 Academy kit...using the kit decals. I have re-learned my lesson. NEVER AGAIN!

Thanks dudes! Honestly, it's not a bad kit it all other than the plywood-like markings. All the spares were thrown in the trash!

Hahaha...sadly, I don't have any G.I.Joe kits to respond with. Actually, it wouldn't be tooooo hard to convert an A-10 kit into a Rattler: www.yojoe.com/vehicles/84/rattler/Don't get me started, Bill.

Thanks fellas! Can't believe we're already into the final month of 2015...need to look through the "on deck circle" to see what else I can finish this year. Then I need to start prepping the 2016 build thread. Aaaaaaah!

Dupes: What the heck is that thing!? Whatever it is it's pretty cool! Love the work on the bottom of the boots, the jet exhaust ports and the helmet(?) Give me a sense of scale...6", 10".. Your next build: I saw a couple subs in the 2015 arsenal but no ships...how about doing a destroyer or AC carrier?

Thanks guys! Andy - you absolutely should! They're a blast. Think space suit with armor, wings, and a lot of future tech! As far as size - it's 1/20, call it 4-4.5" to the top of the suit if it were standing normally (versus in-flight mode). The wings add a fair bit of height. I do indeed have a couple of ships waiting in the wings...just have to be in the right mood to tackle a major build. Especially one that's nowhere near my "comfort zone"!

Good job on the decals indeed, especially the nose (always a bit tricky). I like the camo too, great sprayworks !
And the Krieger ditto for the paint job !

Looks like another fine addition Dupes! Still plenty of time left in the year to get you into the 40+ arena! Maybe even 50 if you pushed it just right. No pressure...

Hahaha...I have officially given up hope of 50 this year (that July gap killed me) but 40 will definitely happen! Maybe even a couple more. Either way, new record set, and we'll see if I can make it in 2016!
