Andy, it is all a matter of organisation I think. Its like driving a karussell, I alway work on every project and do a bit on one build every evening. After reading in five or six books, that means. Lifetime is a shortrunner and so you have to choose well what you do, harhar. Btw, what you not know till yet: I am preparing some Dragon military figures, prepping them (but this time only with minimal sculpting; I have to learn to build from the box a little bit more!)As for these figs here: the holes in the greycoat was done simply dremeling away the plastic from behind and punching the holes with a scalpell!
Leon, thanks dude! I hope the paintjob will be cool, too!
Thanks for looking, gents!

Hey Frank, Nothing like a zombie thread to start my Friday!! The first figure reminds me of how I looked like in the morning after my first visit to the Mosel in Germany...hehehe All of the woman serving beers looked like they were part of some secret German weight lifting experiment!! But that's another story!!!! But seriously, the gaunt look of the first figure is awesome and the over coat will really bring this out during the painting process! I like the idea of the zombies half rotten and not guts and all hanging out. Maybe a small rubble scene with some bricks and debris all over the place? As if they have just surfaced? Their dead pale look on a background with different reds and oranges would look fantastic! Food for thought mate but whenever I have a figure I always try and imagine how I would go about things placing it in a scene...a bad habit I know!!! Enjoy the weekend brother, Shay

Todd, for a undead scene I have always that M-1 Abrams scene with tons of zombies hanging around from THE WALKING DEAD comic and TV-show. But imagine the work doing 20 to 25 undead... Hell will break loose in my mind!!
Shay, hehe, so I can say, I have a Shay sculpt done. After doing Andy in another thread, harhar, I have you boys all around saved as little figures. Nice! Ah, you have encountered our "Schank Maidens"! Yep, they are heavy weight, sweet and working hard for their money. You have to see those girls working at the "Münchener Oktoberfest"! They are real working class heroines! Your base idea is what I have thought of. Nothing really complicated, but a nice little field, maybe a bit snow or a rotten corpse coming out of the ground. I will go in this direction! So lets see how far I come over the weekend!
Cheers bro and have a nice time too!

Started painting the finished Dude, always done in acrylics of cause. All is layered on with several washes and here, too, I have a mile to go, but I think he looks not so bad (or does he? Difficult to say about the living dead, hm...). We will see where it ends! So thanks even more for looking here! Frank

I just noticed. Cool idea and remind me of the movie immediately so it's great. Thou I have one but isn't the neck just a bit to long? But it might be just me. Never the less looking forward to see this one done

Biskup, yes and no! I have thought about the neck back and forth and decided to have him a bit longer, because his look is streched a bit in height and hell, he is missing some fleshy parts around his head, harhar, so were my thoughts. But it is big fun to paint a rotten piece of ... and lay down all the colours. Like Todd said, you can go wild here and do everything you want. Hey, it is a Zombie!

Deaf, thanks man! Glad you are on track again, have missed your posts, Bro! And hell, yeah, Laura and you will have the biggest fun at all when watching THE WALKING DEAD. Claudia and me, we have seen the series now for the third time and it is every time inspiring and more than cool! Wait with eager for FEAR THE WALKING DEAD, the offspring series from Robert Kirkman!!
Deano, yep, you know this stuff here is my fav. And I will add more and more layers and dirt on this creep to finish him till end of the weekend, I hope. Have tons of figures which should be painted and, hey, I found a bunch of Warriors 1:72 German Soldiers and will take aim! Thanks Mate!

Thanks Leon! Wanna know what surprises me? Here are several painters, using mostly the same colour type and good brushes, but all results look different. I am more the "dirt" painter, love to add mud, dirt and a general used look to the stuff I paint and try to concentrate on adding paint to even the smallest details. Which may look good, but affects the scale effect a lot! So thanks god I am mostly painting stuff like that. But this will change in short time ´cause I will do Dragon and Alpine military figures. A complete new task!

You are totally right Frank. I bet if all of use used the same paint for something we would all get different results. We all have different way of applying it but also diluting it. I tend to use or at least add one or two drops of water in which clean my brushes Maybe that's why I don't get the results I would want

Lukasz, I think we learn all the way, every time we paint or sculpt, there are always new ways of doing and thinking. And the most important for me is to get feedback, to discuss. And I want to hear whats not so good in the eyes of my fellows here, whats wrong with my sculptings and ways to paint. I am really not offended by bad critics (like I have read often in other forums): Critic is what makes me move and do better next time. Sure, you spend time and peronallity in your work and are proud of what you did and than someone makes a critic you do not like. I understand this fully! But when someone said, cool work, but you could... and THIS makes my heart swing because I can try out what the person mean and can say it could be important to me. Or drop it, just as I wish! So, guys, feel free to say what ever you might say, give hints and letz discuss!
