The Greebling has begun: The windows are still unattached, they'll be masked and added once the bridge has been completed. I intend to add numerous portals on the side, as the plastic is clear I hope to find some sort of dot sticker that I can stick all over the sides and remove after painting. I'd be tempted to light it from within but it's already filled to the brim with wire for the legs.

Thank you very much TRM! Progress continues with the bridge. It needs some clean-up and a bit of help in attaching evenly to the tower but I think I can pull it off. I mean stick it on. I've also primed the tower so I don't need to mask the bridge again once its attached: I was unable to find a viable substance with which to mask off little dots (Melted string cheese doesn't seem to work), so portals will have to be done another way. The Kyryll is all white so black may actually be more effective than transparency anyway. I'm undecided on whether to add more greeble-detail to the tower, on one hand it's already crowded but on the other hand, real towers are crammed full of every apparatus they can fit. Open to opinions on this one. Next up I need to find a way to make the underside carrier bay where the tanks hang like bats from its underside. That also means designing the tanks, which are the last bit of Valhalla yet to be designed. They're four-legged tanks made to serve roughly the same tactical purpose as horses in cavalry, so they somewhat resemble horses. As they're tiny in this scale, I may jury-rig some helicopters from the Essex model to serve as the tanks. I'd also love to do Mishka's carrier-side room with its hammock. One of the Essex satellite PE bits could resemble one well if I can fold it right.

The bridge has attached and fit better than expected- The primer revealed quite a few flaws, but I think they can all be puttied or obscured by additional greebles. I'm also debating cutting up the railing PE from the Essex and attaching those all over. I managed to fill and sand out all those polka-dots as well, the deck now looks messy as heck but it's very smooth.

Wow, looks real busy, top work and great detailing, as said before! This will be a great scratch when finished, absolute. Btw, I have read some comments on your books, they must be excellent! Sadly, no german translation is available (I read lots of english magazines and art of books, but with novels I love to read them in german. But who knows, maybe sometime they will be available here).

Thank you Leon and Deano! Frank- Thank you as well! A German translation will hopefully be in the works soon, I'll let you know when it is. Your English is flawless though, if you ever want to take a crack at it the first chapters are online for free on the Amazon Kindle page so you can try it out. But I'll definitely message you if they put it out in German! Thank you for your interest, I hope you get to read it someday

Built and detailed the tank bay for the carrier's underside: It fits very snugly: Here it is with the walkways on which some major plot events unfold: And progress thus far- The full set-up. I'm straightening the crosspiece now and making certain they all stick out perpendicular on the vertical axis and horizonal axis, and appear even. Then comes the glue, and once dry, it should be ready for its big coat of primer.

Ari, thanks for your info! I would really love to read your novels in German and hopefully, they will come. Btw, I have no kindle because I am very old fashioned on this. A Book is a Book, I have "tons" of them (collecting Horror, Thriller, SF and Fantasy) in my stash and I love the "feeling" of touching them, love the smell of paper and there is nothing which can replace this!
As for your build: Very inspiring and very very great build up! The detailing is real awesome and I am so curious what you will add next to it. And than, seeing it in a scaled down landscape. Top work!
Frank

Frank- Thank you very much! I'm the same way, no kindle or nook. I just need to turn pages and hold the thing. I'm very happy to have mine out in actual book format, it's such a rarity already for smaller publishers!
DeafPanzer- Thank you as well!
And thank you WBill76!
With the fine tuning soon to begin I hope the model will start to really shine. Figuratively as the finish will be flat…

Thank you Shay! I hope that speed isn't a sign of haste. Luckily I think it's more a result of free time and little interest in anything else at the moment. The perfectionist phase of putty and detailing hasn't started with this one yet so I'm not too concerned, but I envy the painstaking pace of many works shown on this forum and wonder sometimes if I need to slow down to match it in order to match the extraordinary quality many people here work with. Or does the build always go faster than the detailing for everyone? Either way, thank you, I look forward to painting it!
(Note it will be all white so at a glance, this is pretty close to the final look.)
