Just take a look at Lagatha. I told Benny and Jun that they should make Floki in 70mm scale. I do hope they will consider it

What a perfect Lagertha, thanks for sharing mate ! Btw if I understood well, you know the sculptor(s) ? Floki would be a sublime addition to the series of these Viking busts !!! What a caracter !

I wouldn't say I know them. But I did talk with them from time to time. I'm a groupie of their company since the beginning and have some of their products. Not all of those that I like because there are way too many of them. I did suggest that it would be a great addition if they would make figures representing characters from the series. They have very talented sculptors which I admire a lot and I think they would make much better quality figures than other companies.

The Zulu War bust is a Thunderbird Miniatures one. I have seen one painted (very well), and I am a bit enamored with this conflict. I'm leaning toward this one, but I will probably end up getting both at the same time (I am weak).

LOL...I don't blame you in buying both!! I have to use a little restraint when I am looking at these things. Way to many on my radar!!

Very nice choices, Bruce, I've seen both of them painted at a high level. What a challenge, mates, and surelly will be fun starting from tomorrow.
Lagertha, I think it will be a great Nuts Modes success for this year. My God, we didn't start the competition and, it seems to me, you're already thinking to another special Group Build (for the lovers of the serial and this splendid bust)? I think this year I'll gonna really crazy (3 bust projects, 2x54 mm). Nicolae

Lucas, the pic of the painted bust looks really like an old master, hanging in a museum! Have fun doing all the details here.
Another idea: if it doesn´t sound so ridiculous, I would love to sculpt some 54mm busts... But this would be the work of someone on his way to the asylum I guess...

Shay, call me crazy, but I had an idea of such a guy, but for a full figure. He stands before his opened cell, a machete in his hand and a decapitated warden lying on the ground. OK man, now you are really my brother in mind because two guys having the same thoughts must be something special! And mentioning a laptop, hm, my friend, you are a blade runner, aren´t you? Harhar!!

This is tooo weird...I have been buying some strange figures as of late but I have always wanted to sculpt my own misfit in a straight jacket, the crooked teeth, bulged eyeballs...a Jerry Lewis inspired type of creation!! Squirming trying to get out of his predicament! They say dogs look like their owners...maybe for us figure guys it's a projection of ourselves?lol I have yet another bust planned...an evil looking joker from YS Masterpieces, definitely one you will like hehehe

Sounds very promising to me and yes, there are tons of cool stuff we can do and after seeing your little Pooh scene with Piglet, man, you are a natural born sculptor! There is so much talent in this little dio I am very sure it will be a real good idea when you do more stuff and start to sculpt seriously!
The Joker bust sounds good to me and I bet there will be something special around it when you are finished!

Frank same here on the asylum figures. i notice whenever i have bad stuff going on in my life i tend to draw darker stuff. i finished evil within lately and ive been drawing a few inmate|crazies lately. frank, im sure youd make an awesome sculpt. i wish i could realize my drawings in 3d like u. for some reason i cannot sculpt well. i suppose its lack of practice.

Vikings !! epic series , I got myself the Scale 75 figure of Ragnar . Hell yeah! Great topic. If Im lucky, I can get a viking bust from a friend, including base. But that will take a while, because he has to order it first - and, even worse, I have to pay some bills in some weeks (car general check called "TÜV" - the German members should know what I mean, costs ca. 100€ in case they find nothing. Plus repairs eventually). And 2 years girlfriend + me jubilee in two weeks - 23. 03. 2013 (no kidding! ).

Tony, lack of practice? This can be solved! When Todd will do what he said (creating a thread only for how to sculpt and with what) we can collect tons of techniques and what to use for what kind of work. And as I asked some time ago, it would be cool to see some of your paintings! Seeing from your avatar, you are a real good painter!

That guy on the right side reminds me a bit of Willem Dafoe.

Maybe the sculptor was inspired by PLATOON, the movie??

Maybe, yes. Saw this movie recently. Theres only three good Vietnam movies: Platoon, Apocalypse Now and Full Metal Jacket. Very subjective, of course.
Are there Charlie Sheen and/or Marlon Brando busts outta there btw?

I think that's actually meant to be Sheen in Platoon on the left, with Dafoe on the right and Tom Berenger in the middle with his distinctive scar from the film. Their wardrobe also matches the movie, as does their stated division.
I'd do a Kurtz bust in a second if I ever saw one. Need Martin Sheen and Laurence Fishburne figures for my PBR model. And a surfboard.
