It looks like they were both used Leon. I was just looking through "The Encyclopedia of German Tanks of WWII". The 251/3 seems to have been used in larger numbers, and were built on the A, B, and C chassis. The book also states until 1942 some of the variants used a frame antenna. There are also a few pictures of them in the field. The captions do not say where they were taken, but the terrain does look quite open.
Lets add a little salt to the wound...Baltenflotte! Ships!! It didn't amount to much as the Russian Navy was pretty much in shambles in Finland but Baltenflotte was set in place in September of '41 as a preventative measure. There was a rather large force, so plenty to choose from...
Tirpitz, Admiral Scheer, Nürnberg, Köln, Z25, Z26, Z27, 5 U-boats, five S-boats not to mention mine layers, armed trawlers, tugs, supply ships....blah blah blah! Just saying!!
We are getting close gentlemen! I will get some stuff added soon so we have a formal place to house all this stuff and set forth a start date and plausible finish line and such!
