Amazing work mate, let those little fellas rip! Just out of interest when do the LED's come into the scene?

First the battle ship will get some additional details, then LED will follow. I managed to include some Condor WWII German rockets and lead wire for its side walls and some otjher stuff for the belly. ATM Im thinking how to create the explosion itself, there are loads of possibilities.

It stings like a Bee! Cool idea for something like that (I mean, building a Space ship is one thing, doing a complete dio another!). The Attackers really rock and I wonder what paint scheme you are going to do. And to do decals by yourself, hey, it is time for an how to do this!

I wont print them by myself, theyre printed by a friend. But unfortunately I heard that the printing quality isnt as good as usual. So maybe Ill let them outta here and wont use them.
The back sides of the former F-15 fuel tanks need a conclusive filling. Ideas, anyone?

Wet and dry sandpaper, 240er lightly smoothing out the filler. But I had used Miliput sausages pressed in with a moisty brush, so no sanding is needed, maybe a bit polishing with steelwool...

No, I didnt mean the smoothening (did it the same way you described here, wet brush and fingers, then sanding paper). I meant the rear end of it.

Somewhere I had a Revell F-89 Scorpion kit. A perfect kit for a kitbash: Well detailed and high standard - not bad for a kit thats some years on the market now. These are the parts I used: -Air intakes: >> now at the rear end -Nose: >> on the belly -smaller landing flaps: >> just below the air deck, at the rear end of it -larger landing flaps: >> those are just perfect for new decks located at the sides of the main air deck! -Engine front >> same here, but different - upgraded with some plastic profile and lead wire. Better solution than the Harrier parts, it would take too long maybe. And some 1/144 Revell Tomcat exhausts on the belly.

Pure joy to work on this model. The additional air decks are complete, thanks to a PE parts bending tool I got on the last expo from this nice guy: www.facebook.com/jiri.martinek.359?fref=tswww.jmc-hobby.czSitting on one of the decks, theres an interceptor, waiting for instructions. Hey, thats a surprise attack! It was built by using one of the left over Harrier bodies (the front part, to be more exactly), some U-Boat rudders for the wings and plastic rod for the exhausts. Fits on a 1-€-cent coin easily. Weird. While I was eating a lasagna (dont laugh! ) I had an idea: the aluminum foil looks pretty good, and why dont use it for the Bumble Bee? Shes an old, battered lady that has seen a lot of things, and needed a repair here and there. Simple thing! Coming up next is a handpainted "Bumble Bee" lettering and a pin up on the base. Just got some new yellow paint markers and a white pen to sketch it and paint it. Stay tuned - and thanks for looking!

You know you're in the zone when even the lasagna pan makes a contribution to a build like this!

Thanks all! Well... the pinup could have been better. Especially the outlines here and there. Somehow the base is a collection of spontaneous ideas - it includes the name itself, the slogan ("you ring - we sting"), what has a slightly Ghostbusters manner ("...who you gonna call?!" ). Dont laugh, I had the idea for the slogan when I saw the movie of a certain Tolkien movie again some days ago. You know which one. www.youtube.com/watch?v=AyAqf2aOdUc
