Bummer! How about turning it into a maintenance scene - tracks off, or in the process of being fitted?

Bill, I think maybe you may be right.... Dierk, I plugged on. Knowing that if I thought about it too long, I'd stick the whole thing in the box and bury it, I went ahead and did some more work wit ha file and got the tracks to lay on the sprockets well enough to look right. The issue with the skewed links isn't visible with the model on its tracks, so why not. After taking the turret off its work stand and test fitting it, the balls clear the engine deck but still look like crap. No love here. I did go ahead and do the last of the brown washes, then dust, and then I attached the side skirts and dusted them. I'm going to stop here, not do the final weathering stages until I get happy about this one. I never do work I like later when I'm not in a good place about a particular model, and I'm not in the happy place with this one. So for now, it's in the case as-is, and I'm playing with a T-34 shelf queen. Pics: In the meantime, I still have the Friul tracks. Maybe they fit the HobbyBoss sprockets.....

Sounds like a good approach in general Russ! I try to never 'force' something either...bad things usually result when you do that.

Agreed, it's an approach that's worked for me in most everything else in life, so I'm going to try it in modeling....
