Great work on the T-34. Those resin girls are let down by their hands, they look a supermodelish. Tall and lanky!

I almost forget to show the photo what inspired me. I am not making this tank, but i use the scene as a base for my diorama.

Just drilled out the exhausts and rebuild the hatch to the engine. Also added the antenna aray on the turret. This was a future, the first batch of turrets had (Scott, thanks for the info. Its priceless!). The nice thing is, with such a big project, you always have something to do.

Thanks for the comment guys!
Now i am busy carving some stones out of the street. Also cleaned up some figures. Just added the louvres in the engine deck. My main goal now is to finnish the turret and fenders.

Just looked on the inside of the turret hatch. Seven pin ejector marks to fill. Now i am really scratching my head if i want to leave the hatch a bit open.

Looking sharp... you have three options. Close the hatch. Open the hatch. Or my favorite option... open the hatch and place a tank crew in there!

As for the hatch, it is either open (retained by a hasp), closed, or held open by a crew member. Regards Scott Fraser

Well, i dont have an interior. I think i leave it closed. Like they wanted to get out, german soldier shoots on the hatch, injuring a crewmember and the hatch was closed, soldier got shot by the driver and they get all out of the drivershatch (safety first ). Sounds plausible....

Its a difficult angle to catch most of the action in one perspective. And finally i have it! I just found out that i wanted to put the front of the tank also on the front of the diorama. Now i found out that the better angle is the back of the tank.

Thanks Serzh. I am enjoing this build very much. Thats a big motivator.
Indeed Terry. Now the turret is a bit more than just a turret. Now you can link a story to it, what might happen.

Moving along nicely with this Remco! The revolver poking out is a nice touch...definitely leaves plenty of possible answers all to the same question!

I like to make things, that every time you look, you see something different. I did it also with my other T-34, and people still like it due the amount of detail in painting.

Question. I am thinking about giving the T -34 turret markings. Just to make the tank a bit more intresting. Were turret markings used on 1940 models? On photo's they look just plain green. No markings seen. And what markings would be appropriate? Or should i just leave it green?

I'd leave it green. No expert, I, but I've seen lots of pictures that show no markings. I also recall reading at Stalingrad the Soviets were sending unpainted T-34's into action so one can assume they were not over concerned with unit designation.
Fine job
Regards, Mark
