Leon, Mark thnx! I hope it does get some better Mark.. Let's see what you think.. First a total view, i am looking for maximal contrast on the light tones to create the look of quite new vehicle trown into the raw battlefield Berlin Now lets take a look closer.. First i used light earth tones, Buff, Afrika Dust etc for the older mud and sand. Dark tones like Raw Umber and dark AK/Ammo washes are use for more fresh sand and mud. On top of that oil and grease tones are used and in a random way light tones applied to create dust The wheels got several washes and like always i dont paint the rubber black but build up dirt on the black primer started with a black grey wash. As you see i like to use the spatter technique to blend the whole model and to give it a extra used look like you see a lot on modern pics, for example our late Dutch Leopard 2 (rip) That's all for now, time to get back at the workbench

Thnx guys for checking in Track time! The Friuls painted with Vallejo Track Primer and sealed with Satin Gloss. Pigments used for the first earth tones. Finaly used AK products fo create the variation by once again the splatter technique topped with Vallejo Gloss Varnish in the middle of the tracks.
