Hello again everybody. I managed to get the base engine deck cut and ready for installation. I did get the parts for the overhang at the rear cut as well. I'm hoping to have them installed tonight. More to come soon. Thanks again for looking in.

Shaping up nicely Bruce! The real fun will be getting the unique shapes for the air intakes on the engine deck, but I've got every confidence you can pull it off!

Thank you both vey much. Bill, you are absolutely correct about the shapes. They will probably be pretty interesting to do. We should be finding out very soon.

I look forward to seeing you too Andy. Here's another small update. I managed to get the overhang built and filled. I see I have a little more filler work to do, and some shaping. I'm thinking it will be a little bit easier to get the drive housing on before I mount the engine deck, so I started in on them. I hope to have more soon. Thanks again for looking in

Hello everybody, I finally got some bench time. I managed to get the rivets on the front of the superstructure. A bit later, I managed to get the tie downs installed. I started cutting the engine covers, but I still have a lot of shaping to do on them, but they're close. I discovered I had drilled one of the holes for the exhausts in the wrong place. After a few choice words, I put a piece of plastic on the inside of the superstructure, and an application the Bondic liquid plastic filler, it was fixed in about 10 minutes. Finally, I do have something sad to report. I lost a very good, and longtime friend last week. He was a modeler, and was constantly asking about my builds. I want to dedicate this build to my dear friend Sergeant Major Ashby.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend Bruce! This will be a fine dedication to him. Nice progress on the rivets and tie downs.

Hello everybody. I managed to sneak in some bench time over the weekend. I got a pretty good start on the engine covers and their ribs. I'm hoping to get at the actual covers and hinges in the next few days. Thanks again for looking in.

Hello everybody, I had a little more bench time, so I had a little more progress. I started the engine covers. I have to do a bit more shaping and smoothing, but they're heading in the right direction. Of course, I had to see hou they looked in place. I should be getting a start on the hinges this evening. I thank all of you again for looking in.
