Thanks chaps. I still haven't decided if to make the ship on a normal base with plinth or should I put it on a piece of water Andy - Not much of a trap as I like to try different things to learn new techniques

wbill76 - Do that. It's always fun to try something new. Leon - It is something different and it also helps to try new techniques and learn more. Some elements added.

Oh you don't have to encourage me to try something different...2014 was definitely the year of 'different' and there are some candidates slated for 2015 that will fit that same description for sure!

Neato. Moving right along already. I don't know anything about this subject, but it's cool to see more ship builds around here.

Thank you chaps Assembly almost done. Just few more touch ups and I will be able to apply color. This kit goes together rather well, all thou it’s visible that the moulds have seen better days. If you would be making it out of the box there are few places that need more attention. None the less I am positively impressed by this kit. All thou few mistakes in the assembly instruction and markings of the part on the spruce make this kit more suitable for more experience modelers. During the assembly I have thinned all the sides of the ship, protections around the superstructures and air intakes. I have also added PE railing from Part company and I made tarps for life boats.

Thank you chaps. Still a long way to go. wbill76 - Those from what I have learned those weren't a nice thought off ships by their crew members.

Hey, how cool, to see a figure dude doing ships! Great work from what I can see and I am curious what you will add or eventually superdetail here! From MATCHBOX there was a Flower Class in 1:72, but that is long gone... I do not know, I think some company (Revell?) got the forms of the kit and re-released it. Must be a blast to build!
Keep it coming!
Frank

Yeah Frank I like to tackle other stuff from time to time. That's a great way to learn new things Not much detailing apart from thinning few walls, adding PE railing, making few holes and adding tarps to life boats. Also there are all the lines and antennas to add but that I will do after the painting so that I won't break them during weathering stage Yes I think Revell did a re-release of that kit in 72 scale.
