As for usage of concrete utility poles outside Ireland and N.A, they had them in France as well but without the transformer it seems.

Thanks for the pic Jeff! I spent the better part of n hour with a friend across the pond searching for pics of this animal and Ireland was all we turned up. Good to know it can be used in more locations closer to the action.
