Camo is looking great Brett! Thanks Leon. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out in the end. I just had to heat the garage so that I could get the paint to play the game.

Don't you know that 'daddy' can fix anything? Nice to see you were able to get the garage warm enough to paint Brett. PS: We know the 'real' secret behind those shoes, you've been in Andy's closet again!

Don't you know that 'daddy' can fix anything? wbill- From what I can tell it wall to wall styrene in ANdy's closet! Ha ha yeah, anytime there is a broken toy she takes it to "Daddy's Workshop" The other day she saw me messing around with a couple of bits of the VBCI and asked what I was doing. When I explained that I was building a tank for fun she said "me too!" You never know, maybe another modeler is born In the meantime I thought I would post a before shot. I am going to give the Mig FAQ steps a shot, and right now I am laying up the filters - 2 down, 1-3 more to go. Though I am not sure I have the patience for that, as I want to get on to the oil dot filter stage.

Looking good so far Brett! Keep us posted as you move along. If you can encourage your little girl to take up the hobby, more power to you!

G'day, it's been a long time between updates but here is where the carrier is up to at the moment. I pretty much followed the steps as outlined in Mig's The Weathering Magazine - Dust, only not quite as well. I still have a way to go, some bits and pieces on the hull, mud splatters etc then I have to sort out the net armour. Anyway thanks for looking and feel free to give some feedback - the more negative the better Cheers, Brett

Thanks Leon. There was a lot of faffing around to get to this point - far more than I wanted from "Mojo" build.
Cheers,
Brett

Looks substantially darker than the previous update - is that the weathering process, or the lighting?

A little of both I think Dupes. Though mostly the lighting as I didn't have a lot of time to muck about getting it right.
Cheers,
Brett

I thought you did great. I like the streaks! It could use more dust at the lower part of the hull near the wheels.

Thanks Andy. I still have to get around to adding the mud splashes and mores dust to the underneath and lower hull. Hopefully this week!
Cheers,
Brett

I'm looking forward to seeing more progress here myself, really liking it so far. I also have to express some surprise at the fact that Heller seems to be making a real effort to catch up to the rest of the industry in quailty.

Thankyou I have been messing around with the net armour and wished I never bothered. The frames are really fiddle and mesh is way over scale. Also there are some frame rails missing so I am going to have to break my "strictly OOB" policy to make the nets presentable. Here is where I am at right now: Cheers, Brett

Slat armor has to be one of the most fascinating and frustrating things for these types of armor projects. I feel your pain Brett!
