That engine is looking really classy. Looking forward to your magic on an airplane (if although a weird one) this time. I actually really like the 162

I just couldnt say "no" to that kit. 15 bucks including PE parts and everything, even a good mold although its a bit aged now. Good enpugh for an in-between-build. If only the sinking marks at some parts wouldnt be there...

Many thanks Rick! Finally some base pictures... The coin is a provisorial weight only. Just got the offer to trade a Spitfire beer into a useful amount "Three Greens" nose weight from Alex Glass aka Uschi van the Rosten this weekend when Im at the Czech Expo (he will be there in person, btw!). That should work!

Nice work on the cockpit Lucas! Could it be some kind of locking mechanism?

Yeah, I thought so too, but wasnt too sure. The picture is nice, maybe I can find some better as a scratching guide. Lets see.

Doing SciFi/figure stuff most times, this is (for me) a rare moment. A plane almost on the finish line. Its all painted so far and only decals and small stuff (detail painting, cockpit glass, landing flaps etc. are missing. All painted with Vallejo btw.

Tried to give my best here. I guess my AB needs a new needle soon.

Getting close to the finish line Lucas on this one, always nice to see the major paint work commence even if you are limping a bit with a worn needle.

Its always good to have an AB shop around here. A spare needle shouldnt be a problem. Until its really too worn out, I can switch to another AB if neccessary.

Cant believe it - a plane model is complete! As far as I re3member the first one since 2012 (an Eduard French P-39) - and that one crashed after bringing it home from an expo. Pictures will follow. Thanks everyone for watching, hope you had the same fun as I did.
